Phillies writer for @FS_TBOH.
I cover a team that treats October like a timeshare they keep paying for and never using.
Analysis, cope, and the occasional rational thought.
Follow if your coping mechanism is also a baseball team.

Aaron Ashby this postseason:
Innings pitched: 18
Hits: 5
Walks: 3
Strikeouts: 20
ERA: 0.00
He's done tonight after 2.1 innings. Didn't allow a baserunner. Struck out three.
Ashby is having one of the best Octobers ever for a pitcher. Still hasn't allowed a run all month.
This is pretty awesome.

The Rays have scored 6 total runs in this series (2+ games). The Brewers just scored 8 runs in the fifth inning.
ALL WITH 2 OUTS!
Another attempt at luring Alex Cora to Philadelphia.
The Phillies are hiring Peter Fatse as hitting coach, sources say nytimes.com/athletic/7726721…
The Phillies have a knack for stealing bases. It's time to become more aggressive.

This is not looking great for Jalen Hurts the player, along with his physical health moving forward.
“Is there a possibility, given what we now know, that this is a career-ending injury? YES. Why? Because he is always going to be prone to developing a blood clot. Which is then going to potentially move to his lungs, secondary to a hit. And unfortunately, as a professional quarterback in the NFL, that’s not a risk anyone should be willing to take.”
The Eagles’ brass can’t possibly have a legitimate reason to have started him in London. This story is crazy.
36 hours with no sleep, then starting as a QB in the NFL.
Why??
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London.
Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Tom Pelissero, the source cited, later clarified after speaking to Jalen Hurts' agent that Hurts was able to sleep after hospital evaluation and felt rested to play.
