From budget squeezes to NHS shifts and EDI under scrutiny, the public sector's in flux. That’s why our growing group of local leaders met not to fix, but to reflect, connect & re-energise. Grateful for community, creativity, and good food. Till next time 🌱 #Leadership – at Hardwick, England

In 1916, Ota Benga, an African native who suffered inhumane treatment by being kept in a zoo, committed suicide. He had been kidnapped in 1904 from Congo, and taken to America and exhibited at the Bronx Zoo with monkeys. A THREAD!

Spot on analysis. You can be diverse but still have workforce inequalities, racism and a non-inclusive culture - and why simplistic stats of increasing diverse leadership does not in itself equate to equality - need the right leaders driven by and accountable for EDI values.
