Here's the link to the statement (I shortened that quote, message still the same): jmusports.com/ViewArticle.db… #CAA
JMU statement seems to go after ODU for "focus[ing] on particular sports...[doing a] disservice to other athletes, programs and fans." #CAA
If you're not following @defiantlydutch already and need some entertainment, do yourself a favor and get on it.
No doubt folks at Mason are wishing they hadn't sent out that official statement saying they were going to stay.
7 teams in the 2013 #CAAHoops tourney. A 9-team league for the 2013-14 season. Hopefully we'll hear news soon on who's COMING, not leaving.
Only real news would be if the commish shocks everyone by dropping names of schools that will replace VCU, GSU. #CAAHoops
Can't join in on the current CAA teleconference, but I can't imagine there's much to be said. VCU is gone.

CAA dep. commish Bertovich: 11 league teams will play 18 reg. season games in 12-13, per usual. Particulars discussed at upcoming meetings.
With VCU out immediately, it looks like the #CAA will be an 11-team league in 2012-13, and as of now 10 in 2013-14.
Sounds like the Coliseum is going to be pretty quiet in March with Towson, UNCW, GSU and now VCU all bowing out. #CAAnorth

@CAA_FCP But Charlotte is, which means the A-10 has another hole to fill.
