👏 Celebrating Leadership, Advocacy & Commitment!
CAI-CLAC’s Annual Planning Meeting wrapped up today at Sun City Palm Desert Community Association, where 40 volunteer leaders from across California gathered to reflect on the 2026 legislative session and discuss advocacy priorities and strategies for 2026–2027.
Attendees heard the 2026 Advocate Report, along with federal legislative priorities presented by Phoebe E. Neseth, Esq., and Tony Campisi, CAE, of @CAIsocial. We were also pleased to welcome CAI President and CAI-CLAC Emeritus Member Matt Ober, Esq., CCAL.
🏆 A special congratulations to Amy Tinetti, Esq., CCAL, on receiving CAI-CLAC Emeritus status! This recognition honors her years of dedicated service, leadership, and contributions to legislative advocacy on behalf of California’s community associations.
To our outstanding Executive Committee, delegates, and longtime volunteer leaders—thank you for your continued dedication, expertise, and commitment to strengthening California’s communities. Your leadership makes our advocacy efforts possible!
Please join us in recognizing Thomas Ware, Esq., CCAL, as he continues his leadership on the CAI-CLAC Executive Committee as Legislative Co-Chair!
With eight years of service in this role, Thomas helped guide CAI-CLAC through one of its most challenging and active legislative sessions yet, resulting in significant victories for California's community associations and homeowners.
Working alongside our advocates, delegates, members, and coalition partners, Thomas helped advance efforts to stall SB 1007 and secure vetoes of AB 2439 and SB 1238, protecting associations from legislation that could have created costly unintended consequences.
"It was by far the most active and hardest year that we faced in my tenure... Yet with our members' help, we ended up having an extraordinarily successful year." — Thomas Ware
His continued dedication, legal expertise, and commitment to collaborative advocacy have been instrumental in protecting the interests of California's community associations.
Thank you, Thomas, for eight years of outstanding legislative leadership and your continued commitment to CAI-CLAC!

👏 A Successful Legislative Year Thanks to YOU!
As we reflect on the 2026 legislative session, we're grateful to the thousands of community association advocates, volunteers, and homeowners who helped make our collective voice heard at the State Capitol.
According to the Foundation for Community Association Research, 89% of California homeowners living in community associations rate their experience as positive or neutral. That's something worth protecting!
Thank you to everyone who answered calls to action, contacted legislators, attended meetings, and supported CAI-CLAC's advocacy efforts throughout the year.
Together, we're protecting what works and building a stronger future for California's community associations!
