CASME’s 𝑆𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒2𝐺𝑜 journey reaches a remarkable milestone as we stage the 1,000th 𝑆𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒2𝐺𝑜 experiment on 8 October 2026 at KwaSanti Secondary School, Umlazi District, KwaZulu-Natal.

CASME hosted a @FordSouthAfrica funded 𝑆c𝑖e𝑛c𝑒2𝐺o Departmental Heads Workshop at the Mandela Bay Provincial Teacher Development Institute in the Eastern Cape.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈... The experiments. The teachers. The learners. The schools. The partners. And the many moments of discovery along the way. They are all part of the 𝑆𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒2𝐺𝑜 story.

This September, 42 learners took part in the 2026 Ford Motor Company Science2Go STEM Competitions at the Nelson Mandela Provincial Teacher Development Institute in Nelson Mandela Bay. Grade 7 learners represented primary schools, while Grade 9 learners represented high schools.

𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗼.

𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆2𝑮𝒐: 𝑨 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 For 10 years, CASME’s 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚2𝙂𝙤 programme has been taking practical science beyond the textbook and into schools — giving learners opportunities to experiment, investigate, question and discover.

📍 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐌𝐄 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 📍 Every woman and child deserves to live, learn and thrive without fear. Through education and collective action, we can build communities rooted in respect, equality and safety.

Through the Sasol Foundation funded Programme, CASME facilitated a five-day professional development workshop for 50 Grade 8 and 9 Mathematics teachers in the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District.

CASME’s MAHLE funded @Science2Go programme brought an engaging Grade 11 Physical Sciences titration practical to Ziphathele High School in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, reaching 30 learners and one teacher.

Through the Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. funded programme, CASME supported 15 Grade 6 and 7 educators at Canaan College in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, with a workshop focused on Coding, Digital Concepts and AI.

CASME, through the Foskor–Halfway Group funded Project, supported 25 Grade 8 and 9 Mathematics teachers in King Cetshwayo District with practical approaches to collecting, organising, representing and interpreting data.
