The most important new feature of @daopunks is its DAO structure, which is co-governed by both DAOpunks and CryptoPunk holders alike. 1 NFT from either collection = 1 vote. Together they can vote on how to allocate the community ETH.

The @daopunks collection is an entirely separate collection from @cryptopunks. As such, no two NFTs will have the same trait profile. If the seeder contact generates a DAOpunk that matches a CryptoPunks, it will automatically skip that pfp and create a new one.

In Nouns, all traits are equally rare. This is not the case for @cryptopunks. Because @daopunks are inspired by CryptoPunks, we made sure their rarity was, too. Example: there are 88 Zombie CryptoPunks out of 10,000. So there is a 0.88% chance a DAOpunk will be a zombie.

We forked Nouns DAO and added 3 new rules to help CryptoPunk holders achieve a similar opportunity for growth: 1) all traits are now rare 2) no duplicate NFT can be created 3) the treasury is co-governed by both @cryptopunks holders & @daopunks holders alike
