Stanley Robert's latest PBB speaks loudly about the problem of new buildings not providing parking spaces for their tenants. The build 'em here, build 'em high crowd will tell you otherwise. Bike stalls, ride share, and public transit are just so convenient and cure all ills.
Caveant emptores.

The ancient Greeks tried to impress upon us that the line between comedy and tragedy is awfully thin. This notion is reinforced as I read the voters' guide.

McCoy is unfit for office, not because of his "troubled" past but because of who he is: an unethical, vindictive, dumb man. xitter.cf/EricaJSandberg/status/…

Replying to @AT415287548 @SFMTA_Muni
Bike lanes are all over the city, and each one costs a full lane of traffic. Traffic light cycles are now 15 seconds so it takes motorists several cycles to get through an intersection. Yet Muni continues with this BS. Not another nickel for them.

The problem is NOT “seemingly intractable.”
The problem is bad POLICY.
@DanielLurie literally campaigned on a “fentanyl state of emergency.”
We were lied to.
Then when @realDonaldTrump decided to do something about it, Lurie had his friends @Benioff and Jensen @nvidia bamboozle the President into calling it off.
Lurie and his NGO/non-profit buddies have ZERO interest or incentive in solving this “seemingly intractable” problem.
The city would rather treat the problem than solve the problem, as former Mayor Brown reminded us in a rare moment of political candor in a CNN documentary a few years back.
Solving this “seemingly intractable” problem is actually pretty easy.
Call the President. Tell him I made a mistake. I need help.
Kettle the Tenderloin and Mission.
Bring in the Guard and @ICEgov to remove the Hondos from San Francisco.
Arrest and deport the dealers and arrest all addicts using/possesing fentanyl/meth and put them on a 5150 hold down in medically supervised tents inside the walls of the San Bruno jail.
Do this every week in the Tenderloin and Misson (or wherever in the Bay Area the problem moves) and 95% of this “seemingly intractable” problem will be GONE in less than six months. It will be like magic how quickly this “seemingly intractable” problem gets solved.
The problem is not “seemingly intractable” as the Chronicle and ride-along Lurie want you to believe.
They just lack the courage, desire and incentive to solve it.
San Francisco officials are once again vowing to crack down on open-air drug markets. Can they make a dent in a seemingly intractable problem? sfchronicle.com/sf/article/o…

One end of the woke spectrum is sensible: Be kind, help people, be generous...
The other end is absurd: learn to spot microaggressions, reject biology in matters of sex, teach people hypersensitivity, never stop virtue posturing, ban any sign of stoicism...encourage people to gain advantage by weaponising weakness...
They're not the same set of ideas
This is a John Cleese appreciation post
The man is a national treasure and a comedy legend and isn’t woke

Is it wrong to wonder if HomeRise is shutting down to prevent any scrutiny into corrupt, unscrupulous behavior on the part of executives and others with hands in the cookie jar?
