Are you curious about how the metal node influences the formation of ZIF glasses? 🤔
Don’t miss our latest studies exploring this question:
Mn ZIF glass: 🔗 doi.org/10.1039/D5CC02342D
Heterometallic Fe-Zn ZIF glass: 🔗 doi.org/10.1039/D5SC00767D
The first Mn-ZIF glass, ag-MUV-44, was obtained indirectly via solvent-free synthesis and subsequent solid-state transformation.
It exhibits a very low melting temperature and a large interval between melting and decomposition.

We also prepared a crystalline heterometallic imidazolate derivative, MUV-25, with Fe and Zn.
Upon several structural rearrangements, a molten state is achieved yielding a heterometallic glass.

It was 2019 when I joined @ICMol_UV
@UV_EG; 6 years later I only have words of gratitude.
THANKS to all the colleages and friends I met during this time, and special and huge THANKS to @CEL_group where I could grow as a scientist. See you soon!!
Next challenge is coming! #GRACIAS – at Saragossa, Spain

Going back home after the amazing #BBpore2025 organized in Valencia by @CEL_group and @Carraro_Fra that btw gave an additional turbo talk on #HOFs to the series of exciting presentations!
Thanks to all the people that made this possible and for the deeply valuable talks that'll foster future collaborations. See you next at the II Conference on Biotechnological and Biomedical Applications of Porous Materials #BBPoreConnect2025 at
@tugraz! icmol.es/bbpore2025/graz/
To conclude this intense and fruitful #BBPore2025, we would like to thank @_GENAM, @ICMol_UV (María de Maeztu), @LaNauuv, @gvaeducacio, @cienciagob, and @P_recuperacio #NextGenerationEU for making this conference possible and contributing to science dissemination across Europe
To close the conference, Ross Forgan (@forganross) from @UofGChem, our last plenary speaker, talks about the optimization of MOF-based drug delivery through novel synthetic and analytical techniques #BBPore2025
Jesús Ferrando-Soria, from #MUPOMAT at @ICMol_UV explains the possibilities of bio-Metal-Organic Frameworks for the removal of emergent contaminants #BBPore2025
Sara Rojas, invited speaker from @CanalUGR highlights a different biotechnological application of Metal-Organic Frameworks as multifunctional platforms in agriculture, showcasing the versatility of porous materials #BBPore2025
Vicente Martí Centelles (@vtemarticent) from @IDM_UPV_UV @UPV shows the tailoring of molecular cages for guest binding and sensing. Ana Borrego from @DBiop at @UV_EG talks about sepiolite as a porous nanocarrier to enhance mirtazapine drug delivery #BBPore2025
