I keep seeing the "well UGA-Bama, OSU-Texas don't mean anything anymore" in a 24 team playoff arguments.... and sure in the regular season they don't affect champ odds as much as before. But you are still getting the do or die games, just deep into the playoffs

If you've felt like the gap between the top college football teams and other good teams has felt smaller this season, you're correct based off of opponent-adjusted net EPA/play Here is the gap between the #1 team in net EPA/play and the #15 team by season (all through 7 weeks): •2019: +0.23 •2021: +0.17 •2022: +0.17 •2023: +0.19 •2024: +0.16 •2025: +0.21 •2026: +0.10(!)

Colandrea has been more consistent down to down but Daniels has been more explosive and more efficient as a whole, & has been more aggressive and playing in worse situations before the snap. Offense is 17th in adjusted EPA/Play. The only bright spot is Mike can coach an offense

There’s a legit case out of the 3 QBs we targeted out of Anthony Colandrea, Lagway & Ashton Daniels in the offseason, Ashton has been the better QB despite his limitations.
