I had let the team down, and there was no point trying to make excuses.” 🗣️ Interviewer: How did you feel after the game? Max Dowman: “Honestly, I felt really bad. I was devastated, and I think I even cried about it. It was a tie game before I got the red card, so I knew my sending-off had made an already difficult situation even worse. “I kept thinking about how I could have handled it differently. I'm still young, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't take responsibility. Mikel spoke to me about learning from the moment, and that's what I intend to do. I never want to put my teammates in that position again.”
