Honoring this legacy, Israel’s Ambassador to Greece, Pninat Yanay, announces the initiative “OXI – Honoring Courage, Inspiring Generations.”
Every year on OXI Day, the Embassy of Israel will present an award of recognition and a donation to a Greek educational institution, community, or social initiative that embodies our shared values of courage, freedom, and solidarity.
This year, in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Education, the Embassy will donate advanced educational technology and equipment to the Model Ecclesiastical Gymnasium and Lyceum of Xanthi, a region that suffered immensely during World War II.
In cooperation with Greek partners and with the support of Israeli donors and supporters, the initiative turns remembrance and gratitude into an investment in the future.
As the Ambassador said: “The Greek people taught the world that sometimes the bravest word is ‘NO.’”

‼️🇺🇸 The U.S. Air Force is requesting $5.03 billion for the development of the F-47 sixth-generation fighter, representing a 65% increase compared to Fiscal Year 2026.
The Next-Generation Air Superiority Fighter is entering the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase, with projected funding remaining above $3.2 billion annually through Fiscal Year 2030.
The EMD phase will run from Q2 2025 to Q4 2031. That means another six years of development and billions of dollars in funding before the aircraft conducts its first combat sortie.
