A follow-up on The Pride of the Southland since a few folks have sent comments my way… I’ve had the honor of being invited to work directly with some college marching bands over the years. I marched with North Dakota State, directed a song with Fresno State and have had four different marching band directors on my program multiple times. So I’m fortunate to have a good working idea of how band logistics work in stadiums — at home and on the road. That said, those student-musicians in the Pride did Tennessee proud Saturday night in Atlanta. My hat is off to the band directors in the music department at UT! Bravo to them!
