Later onset #epilepsy is a real problem for our families. Most happen at the SWC, are traumatic to witness, some require rescue meds, are unpredictable, are unsettling for kids who have them, scare siblings, & disrupt parental sleep, impacting the entire family. #EndEpilepsy

Another "close to home" later in childhood onset epilepsy diagnosis for a friend of mine's HIE kiddo at age 10. Plus 6 more kids in the last week that we know of in our @HopeforHIE community. Glad we have our resources, but need more focus in research. #NeoTwitter #NeuroTwitter
