Now that the election is over, we can say how relieved we are at the results. Congrats to all winners including our Assemblymember @DianaforQueens on her third win this year, and @votejgr and @AberKawas on their State Senate wins! CIANA is excited to work with all of you.
Midterms elections are just as important as presidential; they determine what Congress will look like for the next 2 years, which in turn shapes federal policy impacting all of us. Don't sit it out. Polls close at 9PM; vote if you haven't already! #ElectionDay #Midterms2026

Tomorrow is Election Day! All registered voters need to vote tomorrow– even if you’re not fluent in English. Pollsite language access in NYC is a right. Simply tell the pollworkers which language you speak, and an interpreter will be provided. More info: nyc.gov/site/civicengagement…

You know what’s scary? Anti-immigrant governors and legislators gaining power because not enough people voted against them. If you’re afraid you can’t vote on Election Day next Tuesday, this weekend is your last chance to vote early. You can even vote in costume!

We had a great time celebrating Halloween and Día de los Muertos at LaGuardia Community College. Great to see so many students and community members getting into the holiday spirit!

Leaving home takes courage. The Unheard shares the journeys, sacrifices, and hopes of our immigrant neighbors. Their voices deserve to be heard, and I will keep fighting for their dignity and safety #fightforimmigrants

Every child deserves nutritious meals. 🍎 I fought to make universal free school meals a reality in NY because no child should go hungry. Shoutout to @GovKathyHochul for protecting this vital program as Trump threatens food assistance nationwide. Our kids deserve better!

We were honored to host representatives from Seoul Volunteer Center in South Korea on Monday. They are in New York learning about how nonprofits partner with @AmeriCorps to recruit volunteers and build capacity to serve local communities. 뉴욕에 오신 것을 환영합니다 !

This year’s midterm elections are just two weeks away. Be sure to know where to vote and who to vote for. Midterms are just as crucial as the presidential election, so don’t sit this one out. findmypollsite.vote.nyc/

It’s disturbing to see so many eligible New Yorkers disenrolling from #NYCCare due to concern for their immigration status. NYC Care is for all NYers no matter their status. ICE activity shouldn’t scare away potential recipients from such a vital lifeline. thecityreporter.nyc/2026/10/…

Last month, the Trump Administration once again expanded Public Charge to include a wider range of public benefits that could prevent documented immigrants from getting a green card. Read about this update and its potential impact in our latest blog post: cianainc.org/post/ciana-expl…

It’s National School Lunch Week! Thanks to years of statewide advocacy and the leadership of Assemblymember @votejgr, universal free meals now allow every student to get the nutrition they need to do well in school, while families save time and money. #NSLW26 #Meals4AllNY
