🇵🇭 WPS: PCG says an unidentified vessel carrying a possible ROV-type object has stayed inside the Bajo de Masinloc lagoon since Oct 3. Its Oct 29 patrol flight also spotted 1 PLAN warship, 3 CCG ships and 5 maritime militia vessels nearby.
🇹🇼 Taiwan: MND detected 6 PLA aircraft sorties, 7 PLAN ships and 1 official ship in the 24 hrs to 6 a.m. Oct 30. 3 sorties crossed the median line.
🇯🇵 Japan: No new Joint Staff reports of Chinese naval activity. The US-Japan exercise Keen Sword ran through Oct 29.

Japan reports multiple Chinese naval vessels transiting toward the Western Pacific through the Miyako and Osumi Straits.
These movements deserve close attention. The PLAN is expanding its operational reach beyond the First Island Chain, testing regional surveillance and demonstrating its ability to deploy forces into the Pacific.
The question isn't simply where these ships are going, but what Beijing is preparing its navy to do.

🇵🇭 WPS: PCG says CCG 3107, CCG 3306 and a PLAN warship were near Bajo de Masinloc as BFAR and PCG delivered fuel to 40 to 50 Filipino fishing boats on Oct 27. No interference reported. The AFP counted 54 Chinese vessels across WPS features Oct 20-26, up from 31 the week before.
🇹🇼 Taiwan: MND detected 6 PLA aircraft sorties, 7 PLAN ships and 1 official ship around Taiwan in the 24 hours to 6am Oct 28.
🇯🇵 Japan: Joint Staff says PLAN destroyer 117 and frigate 546 sailed between Okinawa and Miyako into the Pacific on Oct 27. Joint Staff also reported a China Coast Guard ship transiting the Osumi Strait with 3 PLAN ships, its first public report of such a pairing.

Taiwan NSC Secretary-General Joseph Wu says the PLA is sending groups of vessels, including the Liaoning carrier strike group, to exercise east of the First Island Chain. Wu said the simultaneous threat to Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines is obvious.
