I will eventually direct feature narratives but I'm also comfortable with the fact I'm writing and directing documentary feature films. I find the subjects that haven't been covered before and go full force with empathy, kindness, and love.
what was I doing in 2016? I was directing my first short film (four years after my gun violence and mugging incident). never in my wildest dreams it would lead to so many short films and two documentary feature films, lots of awards and festivals, and beautiful friendships.
I grew up watching documentaries. even at four years old, I would watch one like Harvey Milk, and I thought, "I want to make documentaries. I like learning about people, nature, animals, life, the universe, planets, the ocean, history, the future, etc." It never left me and I
I got mugged by gunpoint and had my camera and lens stolen. I didn't let it stop me, though. I wind up directing 30 short films and two documentary feature films, winning a bunch of awards, and selected in 280+ festivals. I still have more work to do and I haven't even started
it still feels incredible to be awarded on movies you care about and sharing it with the world. for those who aspire on making movies, it is entirely possible. never give up and always uplift people especially these times.
I'm directing a short micro short documentary on the No Kings Day protest, and if anyone wants to be part of it, let me know. I will need pictures and possibly video of the event. Credit, copy and imdb credit will be provided. You are more than welcome my previous films to watch.
I love film @FilmFreeway .com. it made me a better filmmaker, director of 30 short films, and two documentary feature films under my belt, thanks to filmfreeway.com.

honestly... i cannot wait to edit another scene from our 2nd documentary feature film. i'm lucky to be able to direct films that matter to me, but I hope it will also benefit the world. i'm fortunate to have a great producer, subjects, our team, and this story.

i only became a filmmaker because i loved movies as a kid as i do now. honestly, it's the best decision i ever made for myself. still learning and still want to be good for the world.
filmmaking is this: you grab whatever recording device you have, have a RODE boom mic, and film a short 1-2 days and have it complete with edit, music (if needed), sound effects (if required) within a week, enter in film festivals on filmfreeway.com, then make the next 1.
