If LIV Golf 2.0 is able to get through 2027 there will be a much bigger pool of players available for them in 2028 when the PGA Tour goes to the two-tier series.
There will be some known players who have no interest in the "Challenger Series" and will look at LIV is an option.

This camera transition during the F1 race was super cool. It looks like they are using AI to sync two cameras — one in the pits and another on top of the car. You can see it when the footage speeds up at the very end.
Hours after announcing an initial committed investment in LIV Golf, BC Partners Credit head Ted Goldthorpe explained his confidence in the global league’s new business model while speaking at Sportico’s Invest London conference on Tuesday.
“The more we dug into this, the disconnect between myth and fact is massive,” Goldthorpe said. “I think you can easily see a path in very short order to over $100 million valuations per team.”

⏪ REWIND: Anthony Kim completed one of the most inspirational – and improbable – comebacks that professional golf has ever seen, outdueling Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau to win the individual title at LIV Golf Adelaide on Sunday.
After 12-1/2 years away from competitive play due to injuries and personal challenges, Kim returned in 2024 to join LIV Golf. His struggled early while trying to shed the rust and recapture the magic during his early years as a pro.
Thanks to his mantra of “1% better every day” determination, he’s shown dramatic improvement the last few months – and at The Grange, he completed the journey, proving that anything is possible. Not only did Kim capture his first win of any kind in nearly 16 years, he did so while in the final group against two of the best players in the world who simply could not keep up with his iron play and hot putter.
“I'm very overwhelmed with this feeling right now,” said Kim, who began the week working out visa issues to get into Australia, then officially signed with 4Aces GC just before the tournament started. “But my plan is to keep getting better and start winning some more trophies.”

I have spent 73 years in professional golf and have been a proud member of the PGA and PGA TOUR for decades. This game has given me so much, and I feel a responsibility to speak up for its future. Many people may not realise that the formation of the modern PGA TOUR was also a period of disagreement within professional golf. We have faced division before, but one truth has never changed. We have the privilege of earning our living on the golf course because of the fans and sponsors who support us. We must never lose sight of that.
The spirit of the Presidents Cup from last week should remind us that fierce competition and mutual respect belong together. That same spirit should guide the PGA TOUR, LIV Golf and everyone with a responsibility to our game. We can have our differences and still work towards a common goal. Golf fans around the world want to see the best players compete against one another week in and week out. I want to see Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau competing regularly against Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, not just at our major championships. My hope is that we can finally put the divisions of recent years behind us and make that possible.
Even more importantly, we must consider the young players who are beginning their professional careers and the children who dream of following them. They deserve opportunities to test themselves against the best and a game whose leaders are working together to help them succeed. Let us come together, once and for all, with gratitude for those who support us and a shared commitment to golf’s future. Let us open more doors for younger generations around the world. They are the lifeblood of our game. GP
