NEW - Investigators in the Bend, Oregon school shooting case are reportedly probing the shooter's links to harmful online groups, including the 764 child exploitation network.
According to law enforcement sources interviewed by Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB), investigators have issued subpoenas to online platforms - including Discord - to determine the extent of 16-year-old Griffin J. John II's connection to online Nihilistic Violent Extremist communities.
One of the questions investigators seek to answer is whether the teen had any online co-conspirators.
According to OPB, investigators have described the shooter as a "highly online and socially disaffected teen".
If a 764 connection does exist, this will be the second major school incident linked to the group in the past 2 months, with the first being the toxic gas attack by a Portland high schooler in September.
The FBI considers 764 and related NVE groups to be Tier 1 domestic terrorism threat, having resulted in dozens of arrests and hundreds of open investigations in the US.

Concerned residents packed the Utah County Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday after it unanimously approved a widely unpopular data center ordinance without allowing public comment.
Police quickly moved on concerned residents – including swarming one young woman, dragging her out of the room, and slamming her onto the ground. The woman was left with a concussion and a bruised and swollen jaw. She spent the night in the ER after being released from jail.
An emergency rally was called for Wednesday in response to the brutality. Community members are demanding the termination, arrest, and prosecution of the offending officer – identified as Phil Crawford.

Eight days after their June 2013 wedding, Jordan Graham promised Cody Johnson a surprise. She took him to Glacier National Park, and pushed him off a roughly 300-foot cliff.
Then she told his family he’d left with friends.
As people searched, Graham created a fake email account and sent herself a message from a stranger named “Tony”.
It claimed Cody had d*ed during a hike and urged her to call off the search.
She eventually pointed searchers to his body. It was recovered on July 12, five days after she k*lled him.
Graham pleaded guilty to second-degree m*rder midway through her trial.
In March 2014, she was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.
