New results from CLASS! 📡✨ Using data across 90, 150, and 220 GHz, we present improved constraints on CMB circular polarization (Stokes V), tightening large-scale limits by up to ~5–25× and extending reach to ℓ = 700. Cross-correlating with @Planck, we also report the first limits on the temperature–circular polarization (TV) power spectrum to date—both VV and TV remain consistent with zero. Plus, new measurements of atmospheric Zeeman splitting across all CLASS bands! Read the preprint here: arxiv.org/abs/2609.40125

Next for neutrinos? SLAC is involved in several experiments that aim to shine light on the elusive ghostly particles. Neutrinos could link to cosmic evolution, dark matter & matter’s dominance over antimatter in the universe! 70 years since discovery & still so much to learn.

New paper alert! 🚨 Here is the full work-up on the detectors for our new 90 GHz telescope. Developed with @NIST, we’ve now partnered with two cutting-edge detector fabs (including @NASA), allowing for a unique side-by-side comparison. Check out detector expert John Appel’s ever-innovative analysis here: arxiv.org/abs/2606.26576

Beautiful new reflective half-wave plate being made here. The copper sheen is about a kilometer's worth of 100 µm wire. Though admittedly with the handles and the color it looks like paella 🥘!
