The identity of "celebrity threatening to take his own life if allegations about him are made public" has to be The Worst Kept Secret in History. And how is his 'right to life' worth more than women's 'right to go about their business without being sexually assaulted by him'?🤷‍♀️

Oh god this
I am forced to conclude that the reason so often it is men who are in defence of Russell Brand, is because the nature of his crimes forces them to ask questions of themselves and of their friends, regarding their behaviours around women.

Might threaten to kill myself over having to face the consequences of my questionable and possibly criminal behaviour just to feel something.

There are sheets of plasterboard that have a greater grasp on government and the economy than Elizabeth Truss.

I truly don’t think that this woman has entertained the thought that her husband could be going down. If she had, she would be conducting herself with a bit more empathy for the women who are testifying from the depths of their trauma, a bit more humility and a bit more decorum.
Russell Brand, on video with his wife Laura Gallacher, jokes about his rape and sexual assault trial. Laura says “I got nervous before going to court the other day.” Russell replies jokingly “Why? What’s the problem?” Laura: “The nerves were actually that I’m not used to interfacing with uh well they weren’t really necessarily aggressive but when you get out of a car and there are people that are taking a picture, paparazzi, press, reporters, onlookers, just even people stopping in the street and suddenly like oh all swept up into a moment. Because it’s a moment, there’s a moment where you get out the car and there’s people there and they’re taking pictures. And I was absolute—and you know what’s funny? So I was just explaining to Russell about my sort of fascination with storms because we have been watching this storm…”
