Happy to celebrate Epicured’s new Staten Island facility and its Medicaid waiver to deliver medically tailored meals to chronically ill individuals in our community, which is proven to reduce repeat hospitalization. I’m now proud to sponsor legislation to create a Medicare pilot program for seniors.
”It’s ridiculous that, of all of the gyms and basketball courts available across this city, the mayor has to commandeer the one facility that is needed to train our police officers. He and his lackeys should just get memberships to the local YMCA and leave the police academy to the professionals.”
New: Mayor Zohran Mamdani and a group of his friends have been secretly using the NYPD Police Academy’s gymnasium in Queens to play pickup basketball — scrambling some operations at the facility.

Stopped by Catholic Charities’ Fall Festival at Mount Loretto to pick some pumpkins & eat some treats! 🎃 🍁
The administration is bragging how it rushed to install 600 red light cameras in record time to “make everyone safe,” while street lights across Staten Island & our city remain broken for months. We have a way to make our streets safer for everyone, and it doesn’t take state legislation or hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment. Just fix the lights! silive.com/news/2026/10/stat…
The latest “lite” version of the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act - or COPA - has been dressed up and rebranded, but it’s still just as dangerous and unconstitutional. COPA is a Trojan horse that its supporters hope will lead to government seizure of private property and the erosion of our rights. It’s a small universe now, but if it’s not stopped in the courts, they will come back for more
NYC Council quietly passes bill that forces owners to give nonprofits first dibs on buying their properties for 90 days trib.al/6gNEct0
Proud to stand w @CMvpaladino alongside owners & workers in the horse-carriage industry. We need fair treatment for those who have invested their lives & livelihoods in this industry. NYC must do what’s right. These electric vehicles, which were supported by anti-horse carriage advocates in the past, would allow them to continue to operate their small businesses & provide support for retired horses

At the urging of @CMFrankMorano and I, New York City and @NatlParkService have reached an agreement on the cleanup of the radioactive materials at Great Kills Park first discovered in 2005. silive.com/news/2026/10/majo…
The riots in France are a cautionary tale. This is what happens when government overtaxes, overspends, & over-regulates to try to be all things to all people. France’s debt is a whopping 120 percent of GDP. They can’t borrow and spend their way out of this mess anymore. New York City should take note wsj.com/world/europe/rioting…
As the only borough without a public hospital, we have to support our private hospital system to ensure Staten Islanders get the healthcare they need and deserve. I was proud to team with @CMFrankMorano @KamillahMHanks & @SpeakerMenin to help fund these important @NorthwellHealth SIUH renovations silive.com/news/2026/10/a-53…
Proud that New York’s Catholic community stands shoulder to shoulder with our Jewish brothers and sisters against the scourge of antisemitism. As someone raised in the Catholic Church, I am grateful to @NY_Arch & the Al Smith Memorial Foundation for being such outspoken allies of our Jewish family in #NYC & beyond!
Great time at the #ColumbusDay Festa Italiana hosted by @CathCharitiesSI ! Love attending this celebration of the Italian-American community in my home borough each year! #HappyColumbusDay
God bless his Eminence @CardinalDolan . Grateful for his presiding over the @NY_Arch #ColumbusDay Mass today!
Happy #ColumbusDay to all! As a proud American of Italian descent, I always look forward to celebrating our community and its unique part in our nation’s story each year. We have accomplished and contributed so much, and today, we rightly trumpet the culture, language, history, and legacy of our people. Viva l’Italia, and God bless the United States of America! 🇺🇸 🇮🇹

On Columbus Day, we honor Christopher Columbus’s historic voyage and the courage to explore new horizons alongside the Italian Americans who built businesses & communities, defended our freedoms, and helped make this nation great.#ColumbusDay #ItalianAmericanHeritage #innocent11
The rain couldn’t stop me from joining retired FDNY Lt. Enrico Boletti, the National Council of Columbia Associations in Civil Service, Inc. and the @CCFdn at the annual wreath laying ceremony at Columbus Circle. These Italian-Americans are the pride of the uniformed services. Thank you to them for all they do for us each day and for keeping the spirit of #Columbus alive in the Five Boroughs and beyond. #ColumbusDay

FYI: This video went live mere hours after I asked the Mayor's office why he blew off invites to attend Columbus Day parades in Queens and Brooklyn today. No response. Mamdani hoping a snappy video and hosting an Italian Heritage event is enough to ease tensions with Italians.
Mayor Mamdani’s “Italian Heritage Month” video was an incredibly selfish and self-serving take on Italian-Americans. To recast our community’s vision as somehow in accord with his own is bad history. The Mayor’s socialism is as out of step with the Italian-American community today as Vito Marcantonio’s ultimately was in his own time. The Mayor actively erases our holiday, #ColumbusDay, and then adds insult to injury by perversely claiming our heritage supports his far-Left agenda. George Orwell’s 1985 proves its genius yet again

Our district is home to the largest Italian-American community in the country and we were happy to join the community in marching down 18th Avenue in #Brooklyn to celebrate the rich Italian heritage and Columbus Day!
Proud to march through #Bensonhurst in the #Brooklyn #ColumbusDay Parade! As a past Grand Marshal, I am honored to be a part of this annual tradition. Thank you to @FiaoBklyn and their partners for always doing such a great job. Congratulations to all this year’s Grand Marshals, especially @SpeakerMenin !
It was great being at the @WhiteHouse for its annual #ColumbusDay event led by @POTUS w/ @CMFrankMorano , @JoeBorelliNYC , and so many good friends! What a great celebration of Italian-Americans. Thank you to the President for always supporting our community and its traditions!
