Adding boosters at Mastery Level 4 was such a good change. Now you can do one split, unlock Custom Card, upgrade the grey border to green to get double value for your 25 credits, and then you DON’T have to go scrounge up 10 boosters to keep the card out of Bonus Boosters. Nice.
Draft was quite generous once again. I pulled 17 variants (and I missed 2 daily 5-Win PMVs), and I really like about half of those. Got two new cards, The Inversion and Psylocke Fractured Frontier. Good stuff overall.
Re: “land mines,” it seems that if you didn’t strictly stick to your starter’s archetype you could easily cripple your deck. Like, you’re drafting a Destroy deck but an irresistible Ongoing card appears. Pick it, and now you get less Destroy card options in future draft rounds.
With an S5C Pack from Draft I’m back to F2P-complete! Only missing the ten newest cards in the Seasonal Pack/Premium Season Pass. Pretty great for $0.00 spent.

For Emulation Sunday I played a bit of Warsong (aka Langrisser). It’s got all sorts of early-90s friction I’m not going to fight against, but it was fun to check out for a few minutes. The graphics were nice, and the battle animations were incredibly charming.

I hit Infinite! That’s twice in a row, which is rare for me. Hyper Cube Rush helped a lot.
Played this S6/Nimrod deck through the 90s. (Not sure who posted it initially.) When things fall in your favour it can really pop off. Wasp with S6 is ingenious!

This does fairly well against Thanos FF, especially since those decks are piloted with a fair bit of overconfidence. Just gotta recognize when your shuffle is crapping out, and when you’ll be able to pull off some big power.
