Incredible to see the real-world impact of UC San Diego research! Huge congratulations to the CNS faculty and students who uncovered a major security flaw in vehicles across the US.
2 million cars, mostly sold in Southern California since 2017, with anti-theft systems installed by dealers are at higher risk of theft. There is a fix but most car owners are not aware they're vulnerable.
