Tariffs will increase costs on many of the goods we consume: Food, Health Care, Construction costs, Agriculture, Energy and more! There will be additional costs added for products imported from Europe, South America and Asia, as the costs will be passed onto us, the consumers. The tariffs imposed by Trump are basically a new tax on everyone in the United States.

Don’t think anyone voted for higher prices and daily chaos. Promises made, promises broken.

I came of age in small business. I know they’re boosters for our economy.  Trump’s reckless tariffs are pulverizing them and pushing us towards a recession.

House Republicans have jammed through their reckless and disastrous budget bill. It will add trillions to the deficit, slash health care for countless Coloradans, and jeopardize rural hospitals across our state. My full statement below.

The “Big Beautiful Bill” passed despite *bipartisan opposition*. It gives tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy, hikes private insurance costs, and puts rural hospitals and clinics in financial peril. This will hurt Coloradans but we're ready to work at the state level to help.

The One Big Budget-Busting Bureaucracy-Building Act will raise health care costs for everyone, raise our deficit and national debt, hurt kids who need access to food, and increase costs on Coloradans. It will divert money from health care to bureaucrats, leading to an unprecedented expansion of government bureaucracy. It’s deeply disappointing that all the Republican members of our delegation voted for this bill, despite being warned repeatedly of the damage it will cause for their constituents and our state. Colorado Republicans and Trump now own the devastating impacts, cost increases, and chaos this bill will impose on hardworking Coloradans and Americans. ow.ly/8C5R50WkE4X

After more than two days, Republicans have passed their destructive Budget Bill and voted once again to leave middle and working class families behind. Instead of addressing the challenges facing working families, this bill takes a massive step in the wrong direction. It benefits the wealthiest Americans at the expense of the poorest and jeopardizes our children's future. In its wake, I will fight even harder to build a better future for Coloradans.

This is pure lunacy, and downright cruel. Republicans have voted to kick 17 million Americans off their health care, push hundreds of rural hospitals toward closure, wipe out millions of American clean energy careers, and add trillions to our national debt. And for what? For lavish tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.

Today, Republicans in the Senate voted to kick Americans off health care, raise costs on insurance, kill jobs, increase our deficit and debt, and make it harder for kids to access food. This shameful vote comes at the expense of hardworking Coloradans. This bill is bad for our communities, bad for our economy, and will increase the deficit and balloon our national debt. It’s time for the House to rise to the occasion and do their part to protect Americans from this bill and start over.

Freshman Rep. Gabe Evans (R-Colo.) said recently that Trump's big ugly budget bill would result in 'only' 7.6 million people losing Medicaid coverage. This will devastate rural areas of Colorado and many states. Are we tired of winning yet? @repgabeevans #copolitics @coloradopols

SNAP provides critical help to Colorado families, and Congress should not cut the food assistance people rely on. Proposed cuts could cost Colorado up to $360 million annually, negatively impacting food assistance for hundreds of thousands of Coloradans. 9news.com/article/news/polit…

Very concerning: “The reductions in health care spending could increase the uninsured population, which, in turn, could raise commercial insurance costs. Mountain communities already have the highest rate of uninsured residents in the state.”  summitdaily.com/?p=478107
