Hey everyone. So unfortunately, like @SamHerderFCS, I also have some bad news to share.
After covering the G6 for four years at HERO Sports, my position was cut by the company that owns HERO. I loved my job. Getting to highlight schools so often overlooked was really special for me.
And I don't want to stop now, especially with the football season days away. So, like Sam, I'm also going to try independent content. I've started a Substack called The Pool Report, where I'll be covering Group of Six football and I plan to have everything there you could want: rankings, columns, podcasts, game previews, profiles and a lot more. If you're a fan of football in the Pac-12, American, Sun Belt, Mountain West, MAC and/or Conference USA, I'll work my ass off to give you content that's worthwhile.
Thank you in advance for the support! Here's the link to my Substack: cpoolreporter.substack.com/
On today's episode of The Pool Report Podcast, @s_helwick and I talked about the College Football Playoff expansion discourse.
In a world where everyone is complaining about it, I tried to find positives. But it's tough.

There's so many fun games in the G6 this week.
On today's episode of The Pool Report podcast, @s_helwick and I talked about the best games on the slate. That includes Navy vs. North Texas, because the Midshipmen have been playing tough recently.

I've been stoked to contribute to @BettingPros and @FantasyPros the last couple weeks, particularly with NBA coverage.
Here's my first piece about my NBA futures picks. I'll also be doing some other predictions and NBA DFS.
Should be a fun season 🔥

Here’s the Week 7 edition of the G6 Top 25 Media Poll, of which I am a voter.
Ohio checks in for the first time all season at No. 25, while Western Michigan (7) and Toledo (19) also represent the MAC.

Boise State, JMU and New Mexico are still the top three teams in this week's Group of Six Top 25 Media Poll, but there's plenty of movement elsewhere this week.
Here's a look at the full rankings!
You can find the full rankings, as well as my rankings, over on The Pool Report Substack substack.com/@cpoolreporter/…
We're going to see something that hasn't happened in a decade.
JMU isn't going to lose until December.
Is Oregon State unstoppable at this point?
Here's my Sunday overreactions to everything that happened in the G6 this past week for The Pool Report Substack cpoolreporter.substack.com/p…
Air Force earns an impressive 41-31 win over UNLV. Both teams each now have 1 Mountain West loss.
The Falcons ran for 433 yards as a team.
Evan Medders has been great with Liam Szarka out. Medders ran for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Toledo (5-2) picked up a 34-14 win over Eastern Michigan, which was previously unbeaten in MAC play.
Toledo outgained EMU 480-276 as Rockets QB John Alan Richter threw for 288 yards and 1 TD
Western Michigan (5-2, 3-0) stays on top of the MAC standings with a 21-14 win over Central Michigan.
Jalen Buckley paced WMU with 150 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.
For four straight games I’ve thought, alright NOW the Dukes will have a real test.
Apparently not.
JMU is 7-0 and remains the only unbeaten G6 team with a 49-22 win over Georgia State. George Pettaway ran for 119 yards and 1 TD in the win.
➡️UAB beats East Carolina in OT
➡️Tulane beats CFP hopeful Memphis by two touchdowns
➡️Army blows out FAU 56-24
