A reminder. The ambition of the National Curriculum isn't simply giving opportunities to play, sing, compose & listen. It's about gradually improving technically, building knowledge of how music works, & becoming more sophisticated expressively from Years 1-9. It's a long game.

βNo one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.β -Nelson Mandela

Can we all agree that music in schools is vital. For no other reason than we just absolutely should be teaching music. Forget end goals, letβs just teach music and teach it with all our hearts!
Music Education for the sake of Music Education. And it must be for all!!
