Oh, be swift to love, make haste to be kind." - Henri Amiel (l821-1881) Commissioner Marihelen Wheeler is a retired public school teacher of 36 years, turned political activist and currently serves as the Chair of the Alachua County Commission. As a part of her duties as Commission Chair, she also Chair of the Career Source Council. Ms. Wheeler came onto the Council shortly after being elected in 2018 and has served our community since that election. "It has been my pleasure to watch the transformation of Career Source North Central Florida, and be a leading advocate for and cheerleader of the remarkable team of people making that transformation possible", said Commissioner Wheeler.

Dr. Tate currently serves as the Chief Operating and Chief Quality Officer for Cyclo Therapeutics, Inc. in Gainesville, FL. His key accomplishments have been in the regulated manufacturing of drugs, nutritional product and cosmetics. Facilities he has supervised have had nearly perfect safety records with only one workday lost to on-the-job injury. The products manufactured have never been recalled nor have there been any reported quality issues with those products. His focus has always been to take care of the safety of the team members and the safety and efficacy of products for the patients and end user. Dr. Tate has been involved with work force activities in Minneapolis and Gainesville for more than 30 years. He was appointed to the CareerSource North Central Florida Board of Directors by the Alachua County Commissioners in 2018 and currently serves as Chairperson.
