Dear @marksandspencer do you think this looks like Β£17.70 worth of food… at your cafe in your flag ship Shoreham store, served on paper plates with paper cups? Once a treat during a visit, we’ll now go elsewhere for an actual sit in service with crockery & effort!

Dear @easyJet please help me understand why customers had to arrive in time for their scheduled flight KNOWING there’s a 4.5 hour, unavoidable delay you can’t make up? Then giving 1250ISK credit which doesn’t even buy a basic cheese & ham sandwich? Sincerely, confused passenger

This is real life for so many. Too many. It’s 2024. And this is happening before our eyes.
It’s time to tune in. This isn’t drama. At least 34 homeless children have died in temporary accommodation since 2019. Across the UK, access to safe housing, healthcare and a decent standard of living is deteriorating before our eyes. Learn more at beforeoureyes.co.uk

My absolute favourite Christmas present 🎁 @wearemadlug bag… β€˜Make A Difference Luggage’. For every bag bought, they gift a bag to a child in care, no child should carry their belongings in a bin bag. If you need a new πŸŽ’πŸ’Ό go take a look, or donate a bag for a child in care ❀️

Sometimes families do like their Social Workers… Let’s change the narrative ❀️

Let’s not forget 1 in 4 of all people facing homelessness have been in care as children. Tell me again how it’s a lifestyle choice.

I said goodbye to a family today. The mum told me she’s never wanted a social worker, until now. Being a small part of her story is humbling. She’ll stay with me forever, not because of the role I played but because of her bravery, optimism & hope. She’ll be ok, I know it.

What a fantastic graphic to demonstrate how investing and supporting early, provides better (and cheaper!) outcomes for young people… remind me again why we don’t do this already?!
Please check this slide out to see where the Protected Characteristics Campaign is heading in our effort to cost this policy and demonstrate impact... These are real costs.... Would love to know what people think?

Social work can be tough & wonderful & uplifting & rewarding. Tonight I’m raising a glass to my families. Those who have made huge leaps this week, who are chartering unknown territory & who hope that next week will be their week. Wherever you are right now, it’s ok. You’re ok.

What insight this guy has and some real solutions to the issues.
This guy is the audience member of the week, hands down πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ The tories stripped the country of police , community via austerity & power tripping They are to blame for how society has panned out & the youth crime we have Watch thisπŸ‘‡ #bbcqt #ToriesBrokeBritain

Days like today are why I became a social worker. Helped a family move into their new (temporary still, but oh so much better than one room) home. Still plenty of challenges ahead, but today is day 1 of their new life πŸ™πŸΌ

The money hasn’t β€œrun out, it’s running off”. A sad, but very true explanation of where we are and worse, where we’re headed. So deflated to hear that Children England will be closing. Kathy Evans: Governments and politicians still aren’t listening civilsociety.co.uk/voices/ka…

So disappointed that the telegram for my in laws hasn’t arrived for their 60th wedding anniversary despite applying within the timescales. Hoping it arrives very soon from HRH @RoyalFamily as my mother-in-law will be delighted with the surprise from her husband πŸ’ŽπŸ€

My first day as a fully fledged Social Worker. Three years of study and ASYE complete. Feeling pretty bloomin proud. Now for a holiday!

5 hours in A&E today (not for me) and I can confirm that every single member of staff in the hospital is a bloomin brilliant human being. What a job. πŸ’™ #nhs

The Care Review provided so many recommendations yet there has been so little action since. Great work by @TerryGalloway & team to get this to Downing Street πŸ™πŸΌ
