Brazil has perfected the banana republic. You're free to challenge the regime in an election, but apparently not free to leave the country afterward.
Judge Alexandre de Moraes signed an order demanding Bolsonaro hand over his passport WITHIN SEVEN MINUTES of the close of voting. Before votes had even been counted.
What did he know about the vote results that enabled him to make this order within seven minutes of polls closing - seemingly confident that Bolsonaro had already lost?

Trump has been suspiciously quiet these past few days. Perhaps we now know why. Brazil's robed guardians of democracy may have been a little too quick to declare the matter settled and start confiscating passports. I suspect Lula's electoral coronation is not the final act of this particular banana republic opera. Far from it.

He noted that doesn’t even TOUCH the separate financial investigation.

No one should be surprised by this. Not because Bolsonaro would be better for business, though he may be, but because this type of blatant election stealing is NOT the hallmark of an emergent first world country
Investors understand this and move their money accordingly
Brazil cannot ignore the rule of law like this and be expected to be treated like grownups.

Say what you will about Trump, but his opening of negotiations with Russia, including releasing oil sanctions and, media reports of business deals behind closed doors, have clearly pushed the Europeans to actually start discussions. This can only be a good thing for the world.
