Every kid should have a good winter coat & boots to get through Michigan’s coldest months. #TeamGreene was among volunteers helping with the Warm Hearts & Soles Program. Thanks to Bay County's United Way, @LIUNA Local 1098, & others helping #SD35 families squeezed by high prices.

I voted like Donald trump was on the ballot - straight democratic ticket ✅ it can only be a blue wave if you get out and vote - let’s go Blue 💙
.
This is bad for Michigan and bad for the U.S. The reckless tariff policies from DC Republicans are rolling out the red carpet for foreign competitors while Michigan businesses and families bear the costs. It's unacceptable.

The State Dept officials inquiring into the political views of career diplomats who are up for promotion are blatantly violating the law. If there are no consequences for doing so, they will of course keep doing it.
SCOOP: The State Dept has started asking career diplomats up for promotion if they voted for Trump in 16, 20, 24.
Federal law prohibits politically based hiring for career staff.
State tells @washingtonsun it's screening for "fidelity" and execution of the president's vision👇

Polls point to a clear blue wave. The chance of systematic polling error favoring the Democrats is higher than the chance that (a) anything shifts before the election or that (b) key races will move in different unexpected directions. Either the polling is off or a wave is coming

I loved being a “Big,” and I loved hearing about the impact our #BigBrothersBigSisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region is making now. Thanks to their staff, supporters, mentors and families for sharing their personal stories at the Building Bright Futures breakfast.

Can someone please add an investigation into the labor report to @RepRobertGarcia’s very busy plate.

USPS has instituted new policies of delaying postmarking of mail ballot and delivery.
ProPublica shows this has led more people's votes to be tossed, *&* that this is affecting disproportionately rural (red) counties with worse service to begin with.

#Solidarity UA Local 85 members know it. Union members across #SD35 and Michigan know it. Hardworking men and women do everything right and still can’t get ahead. Republicans’ tariff chaos, unchecked corruption, and a war no one voted for have made it even harder. 1/2

Renacci, a longtime Ohio GOP pol, says overnight that “the floor may have just fallen out from under” Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign and that it could take down other candidates:
For those who follow the daily polls and political trends, the floor may have just fallen out from under the Republican campaign for Ohio Governor.
And any Republican who fails to distance themselves from this ad risks taking on water as well.
I have to give Jon Husted credit. He said he would not have run the ad. That was the right response. While he stopped short of outright condemning it, he made his position clear.
Vivek Ramaswamy needs to pivot, and quickly. Stop defending the ad and start talking about his policies, his vision for Ohio, and why he believes he is the better candidate.
If he chooses to double down, I don't see anything good coming from it.
Here's what too many people in politics seem to forget:
Voters don't always elect the most qualified candidate. They often elect the candidate they like, trust, relate to, or even sympathize with.
You can have the strongest résumé, the best policies, and the most impressive background, but none of that guarantees victory if voters don't like what they see or hear.
And when voters believe someone has been treated unfairly, sympathy can become a powerful political force.
Elections aren't won simply by convincing voters that your opponent is worse. They're won by convincing voters that you're better.
That is a lesson every candidate, Republican or Democrat, would be wise to remember.

Mike Rogers voters are undersampled in the polls.
If you are a Michigan Democrat already celebrating what you think is a good year, then put the phone down and go voter contact. Victories are earned not given.

Taking a buyout in a reorg is tough, and freelancing is really tough, but I have two stories publishing later today for great outlets I’ve never written for before, and it’s finally starting to feel like there’s a light at the end of the journalism tunnel. 🙏 if you’ve been laid off or re-orged out lately, hang in there. Keep hustling, it’ll come through.

This wouldn’t merit the intervention of the White House except it involves defending the conduct of a pedophile who fled from the law. Defending such people is a top administration priority which overrides normal political protocol.

By election day every voter in Ohio will know:
1) That @amyactonoh was raped by her stepfather, removed from their house, and the mother stayed with the rapist instead of protecting her children.
2) That Acton has not seen her mother in 50 years.
3) And be disgusted by this ad from what appears to be a crazy woman.
This ad by Vivek will backfire and seal his fate to the ash bin of politics.
