British Columbia is central to building a more prosperous Canada. This afternoon, Premier-designate @LDoerkson and I discussed how we can seize major economic opportunities across the province, build out infrastructure, and unlock our full potential as an energy superpower. Building British Columbia and Canada strong, for all.

Productive conversation with Prime Minister Mark Carney today. We are aligned on the need to supercharge our economy, attract investment, and create good-paying jobs. British Columbia has an enormous role to play in driving Canada's economic future, and we are ready to lead. When British Columbia succeeds, Canada succeeds. READOUT: PREMIER-ELECT LORNE DOERKSON'S CALL WITH PRIME MINISTER MARK CARNEY October 27, 2026 Earlier today, the Prime Minister of Canada and the Premier designate of British Columbia had a virtual meeting setting out a plan for cooperation in support of BC and Canadian growth. In the conversation, there was agreement to work together to increase growth and economic opportunities for BC and Canada. On LNG and natural gas, there was a joint desire to ensure the right investable and competitive conditions are created to maximize private sector investment. On investment strategy, there was alignment to work together to attract capital to BC. Overall, the Prime Minister and Premier Designate indicated their joint desire for a strong partnership inclusive of all British Columbians that can supercharge hope and opportunities for the province. The Premier Designate offered his commitment to work together on various challenges including managing trade risks and opportunities to ensure prosperity for the country from coast, to coast to coast. There was also alignment on the need for progressing improved infrastructure and services in BC and to work these issues further through the transition and establishment of BC’s new government.

The Greens didn’t split the vote, the NDP suppressed the vote through their own cynicism, negativity and promise breaking. Our turnout was 10 points higher during a global pandemic. #bcpoli

I'm heading to CTV studios to watch (and provide brilliant insights) into the BC election tonight. Polling say it's a narrow path for the Orange Team - and the Conservatives to lose. But polling + BC voters = bananas. Tune in tonight - hand counting at Elections BC - tuck in!

Vancouver Mayor elect, Pete Fry, is on the campaign trail today with Green Party leader Emily Lowan. Fry was at an event for David Eby yesterday but didn’t offer an endorsement. The leader of the Green Party of Vancouver is clearly a hot political entity. #bcpoli
