I've decided to go again! Movember here I come! I'm raising funds for Movember to go towards men's health charities. If anyone feels like donating (shameless plug), I'd be really grateful. QR code, go to movember.com/m/15560987?mc=6… or search for Rob Herd on the Movember page.

"Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party?" asks Bridget Phillipson. "Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence." Right. Same question back. Who is bankrolling Labour, and the machine around it? Gary Lubner. South African. Former Autoglass chief. Millions. Lord Alli. Buys the clothes, lends the flat. George Soros. Money into Best for Britain and Fair Vote, routed through a London outpost, which is how a foreign fortune gets round a ban on foreign donations. Pierre Omidyar. French-Iranian, eBay founder, funding the campaign groups. Bill Gates. In for the photo call. Swedish philanthropists. Bloomberg. And Verbatim, which made the Channel 4 sting she is riding, is itself funded from abroad. So the watchdog on foreign money is on foreign money. And those are off the top of my head. No research. Give me an afternoon and the list fills a page. So the party promising to protect democracy from foreign influence is up to its neck in it, legally, through the same door, and has proposed no cap that would inconvenience a single person in the room. They held a drinks party for them in Downing Street. The question is not who is bankrolling Farage. It is why Labour thinks the answer changes depending on whose name is on the cheque. "Protect our democracy from foreign influence." They would not know where to start.
Who is bankrolling Nigel Farage's party? What interests are they seeking to advance? Are they acting in Britain's best interests? Reform UK are engulfed in sleaze and scandal. Labour will protect our democracy from foreign influence. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

Look, I know families are worried about rising unemployment, I get it. That’s why today, we’re going to make it even more expensive for employers to hire you.

Everybody, please watch ‘The Thick of It’ again and you will roar with laughter imagining Reynolds being given the brief in the morning ‘oh, you’re fucking joking’ 🤣🤣🤣
😂 Nick Ferrari bursts out laughing as Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds is forced to sell the latest government gimmick live on @LBC Reynolds looked thoroughly embarrassed as he tried to sell the plan to scrap import tariffs on a list of “everyday essentials”. When Ferrari asked him which products were included and what the actual savings would be, Reynolds immediately started dampening expectations, sheepishly admitting these were “not huge reductions” before reeling off the list: baked beans, chocolate, gherkins… That’s as far as he got. Ferrari could not contain himself and burst out laughing. 😭 Nick then pointed out that the Conservatives have called the projected saving of £21 per year “derisory”. You could see Reynolds was mortified reading it out. Imagine the brief he opened this morning and realised he had to go on air and sell this to the public. 😬 What a farce. Even on the government’s own figures, this works out at roughly 40p a week for the average household. Forty pence a week. You lucky people. Another pointless gimmick that will have zero material impact on people’s lives.

More batshit craziness from a fiscally illiterate @UKLabour MP - and yes, responses turned off as soon as it was pointed out….
What if we could heat our homes without relying on expensive gas? Introducing… the Warm Homes Loan scheme

Just so you know, none of this is off the cuff. There were discussions about what clothes to wear. There were discussions about what drinks and snacks should be on the table, and the order/manner in which they should be eaten. There were definitely discussions about what TV to watch. This is the cringiest PR exercise ever, and it took prep time to get that embarrassing.
