Nautsa’mawt FC is beyond excited to announce the signing of the talented forward ✨Felix Grant✨, traditional name c̓ɑl əχʷ ə qən, who hails from the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) First Nation.
Felix has a rich background in soccer and has played at various levels throughout his career. He has played for the VanU Snipers U21 in the VMSL U21 division and with the TSS Rovers in DIV 1, where he showcased his exceptional skills on the field. Felix has also represented his community in numerous other soccer tournaments.
Felix brings more than just his impressive resume to the team; he is a natural leader and a great role model for the younger players on the team. He is passionate about inspiring and motivating other Indigenous athletes to pursue their dreams and become a part of the broader soccer community.💛💙
In his own words, "I am very excited to play for Nautsa’mawt FC and represent my home community of Musqueam First Nation. With this opportunity, I hope to inspire and become a role model for all indigenous athletes to move forward in making a mark and achieving their goals. As for me, I hope to continue moving forward with my own personal goals and development within the beautiful game. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way in my soccer journey. But most importantly to my parents and brother for being by my side every step of the way.”🤲🏽💙✨
Felix embodies the values of his people, including the belief in "One heart, One mind", which in his traditional language, hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ is stated as “néca?mat ct" meaning “we are one.”
We are thrilled to have Felix join our team, and we believe that he will be a tremendous asset- both on and off the field. His dedication, commitment, and passion for the game are contagious, and we know that he will inspire his teammates to play to their fullest potential.
Welcome to the team Felix! We look forward to work together to continue to promote unity and inclusivity through the beautiful game!✨✨✨

Please join us in welcoming to Nautsa’mawt FC✨Holden McLeay✨traditional name
“Maakooyii (Wolf)”, member of @Siksika_Nation from Three Hills, Alberta.
At 18 years old, Holden transitions between playing centerback and fullback, having played Tier 1 in Calgary, Alberta, then moving to play for the Victoria Highlanders Residency Program, competing in the Men's Div 1, VISL for the past three years. He also travelled to Arnstadt, Germany, to train/play in the U19 Jr. Bundesliga League with the residency program at the Arnstadt Soccer Academy.⚽️
When asked what this opportunity means to play for Nauwtsa'mawt FC in League1 BC, Holden shared: “I am proud to be given this opportunity to represent myself and all the young players from my nation as well as the young players playing rural soccer. I started playing rural soccer in Three Hills, Alberta, which shows that it can happen. Throughout my soccer career, I have had some great coaches, including my dad, who have developed, encouraged and inspired me to be the player I am today. I now say 'thank you' and make them proud as I play for Nauwtsa'mawt FC. I am grateful for all that my parents have done to help me reach my goals. They have always believed in and encouraged me to be my best on and off the pitch. I am excited about this next chapter and where it takes me. To be a role model for all young aspiring soccer players and represent my nation is something to be proud of, and it is a responsibility I am willing to take on.”💛✨
In Holden's traditional language, Siksikaipoosin (Blackfoot), his great-uncle translated “One Heart One Mind” to Aah-tsoi-iik-kaa-kii-maan (to join as one to overcome), Oos-kii-tsip (heart) and Oo-pis (mind) and niik-taa-sii-takii (it makes me happy), Holden stated, “My culture’s form of expression of happiness to be on the Nauwtsa’mawt FC.”🤲🏽✨
We are excited for Holden to join Nautsa’mawt FC and bring his skills and experience to the team. With his passion and dedication for the game, we know that Holden will make a valuable addition to our roster- on and off the pitch. Welcome Holden! 💙💛⚽️
