📣 IT’S OFFICIAL! I’m ridiculously excited to announce that in mid-September, I’ll be joining the venue sales team at the spectacular Château Bellevue! ❤️ I have been IN LOVE with Château Bellevue for years. I’ve delivered many wedding cakes there when I had my bakery, admired the architecture, wandered through those gorgeous historic spaces, and marveled at the woodwork, stained glass and all the beautiful little details that make old buildings completely irresistible to me. 😂 Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for historic homes and architecture. Give me a gorgeous old building with a story and I’m in Heaven. So the opportunity to work at one of Austin’s most treasured historic landmarks? Yep. Dream job! Finally! Built in 1874 and preserved by the Austin Woman’s Club, Château Bellevue is a truly remarkable piece of Austin history. And I love that it’s still very much alive, welcoming people through its doors and creating new memories right in the heart of downtown Austin. And now I get to be part of that. I’ll be bringing my background in events, marketing, sales, hospitality and business ownership to the Château team, with a focus on introducing more corporations, nonprofits and organizations to this extraordinary venue. Located just one block from 6th Street in the heart of downtown Austin, Château Bellevue offers something you simply can’t replicate in a modern venue: the elegance, character and history of the past paired with all the convenience of being in the center of the city. Because let’s be honest… when you can host an event in a gorgeous 1874 mansion one block from 6th Street, with FREE parking 🦄, an elevator, beautiful historic spaces and the flexibility to bring in your own vendors, that’s a pretty compelling proposition! Sometimes the dream job really does find you. And sometimes it happens inside a gorgeous old mansion. I’ll take that. ❤️🥂

My Lord, Cam Coleman 🎥: @TexasFootball

In December, an 85-year-old North Carolina widow called a tree company begging for firewood, she said she was cold and couldn't heat her home. The owner delivered it free and then fixed her roof, her heat, her car, raised $20,000 for her Christmas... and STILL maintains her property free, checking on her every week. Her name is Nana Abernathy. She had just lost her husband and was struggling to survive on her own when she made that call last December. Paul Brittain, the owner, showed up with the firewood himself. No charge. But while he was there, he noticed things: a leaking roof, a broken heating unit, a car that needed tires. So he came back, this time with his whole crew. They fixed the roof. Replaced the heat. Put new tires on her car. All for free. Then, for Christmas, Paul raised $20,000 for her. To this day, he maintains her property at no charge and checks on her every single week, just to make sure she's okay. He has never charged her a dime. This is the America I love!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
