HOLY S*HIT! J. Cole’s abandoned Rap son ISSUES an Apology: ā€œI went to his concert & we were supposed to meet but it didn’t happen… I don’t have a problem with Cole— I’m a J. Cole fan.ā€ Symba Adds, ā€œCole was right , I am a little [him].. I was just a hurt fan and did some immature S***t and put a track out.ā€ He goes on to COP A PLEA & says he was NEVER trying to diminish his legacy and thinks J. Cole is an amazing artist.

J. Cole is in the 0.1% of rappers who has Certified Diamond SONGS without any guest features. Cole fans will tell you they PREFER the records w/ ONLY him and Cole caters to his fanbase. Instead of peddling fan fiction for clicks, apply some of this criticism to your actual music friends who haven’t sniffed the level of success of Cole.
🚨 Rory & Zip say J. COLE NEEDS HELP WITH HIS HOOKS, arguing he’d be a MUCH better artist if he let more people help him make records. ā€œIf J. Cole had a group around him like DRAKE, he would be… a LOT better. A lot, lot better.ā€ They argue Cole’s biggest weakness can be trying to do too much himself, especially when it comes to hooks. ā€œIf somebody else did this hook, it would be 10 TIMES better.ā€ They point to his records with Miguel and Jeremih as examples of what happens when Cole lets other artists elevate the hook. Rory also admits that doing so much himself may be part of why Cole’s core fanbase loves him so much: ā€œI think the charm to his core is that Cole doesn’t really get much HELP.ā€ Via New Rory & MAL

Akademiks SPEAKS on seeing OVO MAL at Drake’s 40th Birthday Party: ā€œI seen [OVO MAL] there… I’m not about to mess up my man’s birthday and honestly I really don’t got anything to say to him… We were about 6 ft away from each other & we just ignored each other.ā€

HOLY SH*T! The Joe Budden Podcast just released one of THE WORST eps of the year. This comes directly after Joe Budden raised the clipper tier to $7500 to clip the show. Fans are saying the show is in a creative SLUMP and the guests have been as entertaining as Crime in America.

Ebro & Peter Rosenberg SPEAK on Drake: ā€œIn every version of this scenario, is Akademiks even making it to Drake’s birthday party? There’s another version where Drake wouldn’t have AK there—but he decided other people were the opps.ā€ Ebro adds: ā€œIn the other version, Akademiks was still a Kendrick fan, riding hard for him… but Akademiks picked a side.ā€
