Azıx Cave is considered one of the most significant Paleolithic sites in the Caucasus and across Eurasia. Currently, archaeological research is ongoing with the participation of both international and local scholars. These studies are expected to shed important light on the activities of Neanderthals and Homo sapiens, including the possibility of their coexistence or parallel habitation in the region.

I am pleased to meet with H.E. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi @jasemalbudaiwi, Secretary General of the of the Gulf Cooperation Council @GCCSG. We held an exchange of view on succesful Azerbaijan-GCC relations and discussed opportunities to further expand our cooperation.

On the sidelines of @Dohaforum I was pleased to meet with H.E. @MANAlMisned Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the State of Qatar. During the meeting we discussed how to further enhance the brotherly relations between our countries and agreed to intensify our cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

Engaging discussion today at the German Parliamentary Society with distinguished reps of 🇩🇪 Government, Bundestag, think tanks, & leading media. We discussed Azerbaijan’s pivotal role in fostering peace, stability, and connectivity amid evolving regional & global dynamics.

We discussed with Dr. Géza Andreas von Geyr, State Secretary at the MFA of Germany regional issues, consolidation of peace in the region and bilateral agenda, including connectivity projects. Azerbaijan has always had friendly and good relations with Germany.

In Berlin had fruitful meeting with Dr.Günter Sautter, Foreign/Security Policy Advisor to Federal Chancellor. on bilateral ties between our countries/regional issues. New era of peace in the region provides broad prospects for advancement of our ties as well as EU cooperation.

President İlham Aliyev attends Middle East Peace Summit in Sharm El Sheikh. It is reflection of Azerbaijan’s growing regional role and its Global foreign policy as middle power. Azerbaijan is the desirable partner for all parties for the regional peace agenda in the Middle East.

Only in the first decade of October, President Ilham Aliyev participated in three different summits in three diverse geographies and formats.    •   1–2 October – EPC, Copenhagen. Meetings and discussions with the EU and other partner European countries.    •   6–7 October – Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala. Solidarity and unity of the Turkic World.    •   9–10 October – CIS Summit in Dushanbe. The participation of President Ilham Aliyev in three summits within only the last ten days is a manifestation of Azerbaijan’s multi-dimensional and multi-regional foreign policy deriving from the variable geopolitical identities of Azerbaijan.

Landmines are not just remnants of the past — they are an ongoing danger to both humans and animals. In the mountains of Kalbajar, this time a dog has become a victim of anti-personnel landmine planted by Armenia during the period of occupation. Thankfully, quick intervention by Azerbaijani military medical team ensured that she received immediate medical assistance. Her life is no longer in danger. Since 2020 more than 400 Azerbaijani civilians and militaries alike have become victims of landmines infested by Armenia. Remain buried underground for years, landmines cause soil erosion and destroy native vegetation as well. #landmines #dogs
