All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

The 49ers went into one of the toughest stadiums to play in and not only outplayed the Seahawks, but they were the more physical team as well The squad is now 5-0 and it’s an impressive 5-0 team. They fucked up the Rams and now the Seahawks

Got fined for promoting alcohol from a league who brings in half a billion dollars every year from… promoting alcohol
NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration Sunday vs. Miami. “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter. Juszczyk, nicknamed “Juice”, already has appealed the fine.

The Big 12 has to step in and stop this nonsense
I'm told Texas Tech would consider legal action if athletic programs and/or conferences try to exclude them from competition or hinder their scheduling.

And three $5 bets on Iowa Football got me BANNED???
Breaking: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. He’s set to be eligible for the 2026 season. Sorsby cannot play in Texas Tech's first two games, which was the penalty his legal team suggested to the NCAA.

Imagine being one of the Cyclones or Hawkeyes with far less egregious wagering who were never able to play NCAA football again.

I’d like to know where this national outrage was a few years ago when it happened here in the state of Iowa. What an absolute joke.
NEW: Paul Finebaum rips the NCAA for denying Texas Tech’s request for reinstatement of eligibility for Brendan Sorsby⬇️ “...we’re talking about the NCAA, the most hypocritical organization in the history of mankind, coming down on somebody for gambling while they have their own side gambling deals and while gambling is pervasive everywhere. So, a three-game suspension perhaps. Keeping him out for the whole season is wrong.” (via @GetUpESPN) on3.com/college/texas-tech-r…

BREAKING: The Senate just passed the legislation allowing the devastation of the Boundary Waters. The motion passed 50-49, and now goes to Donald Trump’s desk. The way Republicans passed this bill that prevents future administrations from issuing protections for Superior National Forest, so this pristine land will be exploited in perpetuity unless Congress intervenes to reverse this decision. The state of Minnesota can still block the Chilean mining corporation from operating in Superior National Forest and protect the Boundary Waters from pollution.
The Senate is about to vote on handing a national forest over to a foreign corporation. A Chilean mining company wants to develop a copper mine upstream from the Boundary Waters, a pristine wilderness. The GOP has to choose between a foreign corporation and their constituents.

The U.S. Senate just voted to pollute one of Minnesota’s most beloved places: the Boundary Waters. Let’s be clear why: more money for billionaires. Twin Metals and its parent companies are mega-corporations owned by a billionaire family based in Chile. They have a long track record of pollution and environmental devastation, and despite their assurances that this mining is “safe,” decades of research show otherwise. Twin Metals would bring fewer than 750 jobs to the region, with most of its operations being autonomous and remote, but it risks thousands of jobs in tourism and hospitality. The BWCA is the most visited wilderness in America, attracting almost 150,000 tourists and over $80 million in annual spending to the region. This won’t bring long-term prosperity. It will cost us millions in healthcare and environmental cleanup. Mining can be done right, only in the right places. This is the wrong type of mine, in the wrong place. All watersheds are connected. What happens in one place harms another, and pollution near the BWCA will migrate into the BWCA and the surrounding watershed. Republicans are in the pockets of big corporations that want to threaten our Minnesota heritage and one of the most pristine environments in the nation. We must take back the U.S. House and overturn this reckless policy.
