Last week saw my first foray over the marathon in 8 years at Abingdon. A fantastic day, felt pretty controlled with some work down the stretch. 2:50:07 for a 37 minute best, what a difference consistent training makes! Might not wait so long for the next one. #abingdonmarathon
As sad way for it to end that doesn't sit well with me, 12 months ago we were celebrating a league title, have endured a tough season no doubt, a league title surely gives you a another chance. Thanks for number 20. Even more focus on the board going forward.
New best (57.05) over 10 miles at Chippenham on Sunday, a good race, well organised, a good way to kick off the road season 💪
As we enter into March that sees the ene of the cross-country season for me. This year's Nationals in Sedgefield was a great event, my highest Nationals finish and a good way to end the season!
Last race of the year at Telford 10k and a new pb of 33:48 💪 enjoyed the alternate route and think there is more in the tank with some better pacing. Once again a great event to be part of so well done to the organisers 👍
Last weekend back over the country at the BBO XC Championships. Pleasing run individually and for the team to win back the big one 🏆
First foray over the cross country at the first round of the Chiltern League in St Albans. A good mark to build on for hopefully a season of progression over Autumn/Winter 🏃♂️ pic: Mark Easto

Our advice for a successful xc season. Get the miles in. Stay away from the fads and fancy workouts. Stay the right side of the line.
Coming to the end of a tough month personally. Pleased to have the distraction of racing break things up with course bests at Combe & Stratfield Brake and 5km pb at Alchester. It's during these times you appreciate being able to get out and run 🙏 pics: John Harvey & Clive Jones
Thursday saw race 1 of the Kidlington Mota-vation Series in Charlton on Otmoor. 5.2miles in great conditions. 45 second course pb going through 5 mile in 27.00 which would be another best for me. Looking forward to some summer racing 💪🏃♂️ pics @AbingdonAC
Relay season saw the club finish (after attempts in 23, 24) the National 12-stage for the first time ever 🥳 ! A great day for the club (as Oxfordshires only representative). Some class runs over both weekends and a marker in the sand for future years! Pics @AbingdonAC Bryan Dale
Sunday saw my first running of Reading Half Marathon. A good test over the course with a couple hills and some good running stretches also. Managed to best my previous half effort back in 23 with 1.18.26. Really good support all the way round. Next up relays on Sunday 👍
A fitting end to this year's cross country season. Representing Oxfordshire at the inter-counties at Wollaton Park, Nottingham, my first Oxfordshire vest! Great experience mixing with some top runners, pleased to make the scoring six. Great venue and course on a warm spring day!
Last weekend Oxon league match 4 at Cotswold Farm Park, another good test, next up Nationals. Pics @AbingdonAC
SEAA XC Championships on Saturday. First time in many years (2019) at the Southerns. 14 km over the varied terrain of Beckenham Place Park. A lot better prepared these days for xc but still a good test all the same, back to the league next weekend! Photo: @markhookway
Last Oxon league fixture at the current Cirencester venue. Always provides a good test and yesterday didn’t disappoint, very soft underfoot, found myself on the deck early 😅 but got through unscathed. I think some would describe it as 'proper' cross country! Photos: @AbingdonAC
A few from last weekend's Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire XC Championships on Sunday at Broughton Castle. Great venue with a challenging course for all. Very much look like I'm enjoying myself on that finish straight 😁 pics: @AbingdonAC
