Things have not been easy here. The blackouts have started and they will only get longer. Several friends suggested I do this. So I am giving it a shot.
My birthday is this week. If you want to help me prepare for the winter I would be very grateful. I will list the specific items in the comments. I will not wait for this to close to start buying items and I will keep you updated in the comments when things are bought and arrive. Shipping times will not be quick because most of the power stations/ power banks come from the EU…. And I know I’m running out of time before it gets worse.
I absolutely hate asking for help for myself. There is just no other way to get the things I need in time.

Good morning, everyone. ☀️ Today we’re going to practise something that seems to be getting lost around here.
Focus.
Take a deep breath. Inhale. Exhale.
Now gently release your ego. Release the need for likes, followers, attention and external validation. You are not the main character. Breathe through that. You’ll be fine. 😁
Now imagine opening your timeline and seeing Ukrainian voices being amplified. News about the people killed overnight. Volunteers getting the visibility they desperately need. Defenders receiving support. Collections with transparency and receipts.
Beautiful, isn’t it?
Now gently release the petty arguments, popularity contests, personality worship and endless political noise. You don’t have to participate in every argument. Not every thought requires a 47-post thread.
Inhale accountability. Exhale performative activism.
Remember why we came together in the first place. It wasn’t to become internet celebrities. It wasn’t to compete for attention or decide who’s the most important person in the room.
It was to stand with Ukraine.
While we’re arguing about who said what to whom, Ukrainians are burying their loved ones. Families are grieving. Defenders are fighting. Volunteers are trying to get help to people who need it.
Take another breath.
Ask yourself: Am I amplifying Ukraine, or am I amplifying myself?
There’s room for laughter, friendship, personal stories and community here. Those things matter too. But somewhere along the way, we cannot lose sight of the reason this community exists.
Now slowly open your eyes.
Find your focus. Amplify Ukrainian voices. Support the people doing the work. Honour those who can no longer speak for themselves.
And remember, this is not a competition for the main character award.

🇺🇦Today, October 27, Ukraine marks the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language.
For most people, speaking their native language, reading books in it, or teaching it to their children is something they rarely have to think about. For Ukrainians, these simple things have come at an extraordinary cost.
For centuries, the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union tried to suppress Ukrainian language. Ukrainian books were banned, writers were persecuted and executed, and generations were denied the freedom to express themselves in their own language.
And here we are, in 2026, watching Ukrainian books burn again.
Russian attacks have destroyed publishing houses, libraries, and millions of books. In occupied territories, Ukrainian literature is removed from schools, and children are taught to forget their own history.
Because destroying a nation's books is about much more than destroying paper. It's about taking away its memory, its voice, and eventually, its identity.
But Ukrainian has survived. Through the courage of writers who refused to be silent, families who passed their language on to their children, and generations who kept it alive despite the consequences.
Today, Ukrainians are once again fighting for the right to speak their language, tell their own stories, and raise their children knowing who they are.
And that is something no nation should ever have to fight for.
Our language is still alive. And so is our determination to protect it. 🇺🇦
