Inflation strikes again, but this time you might actually like it! The console already had $() and $$(), @FirefoxNightly, now has $$$(), which returns an array of nodes matching the selector, including those in the ShadowDOM. This should make working with Web Components easier 🙂

I've implemented a visual preview icon for the text-emphasis-style property of Chrome DevTools. Let me know what other properties you need to add previews for, such as `cursor`, `list-style-type`, etc.

Have you heard about #CSS @scope? It’s an upcoming way to scope the reach of your CSS selectors, allowing you to move away from methodologies such as BEM because you no longer need to name those in-between elements. It’s coming to Chrome 118, so let’s take a look …

Vertical centering used to be one of the biggest CSS layout headaches, but now the display: block element can be vertically centered by align-content: center. Which has been implemented in Chrome Canary and WebKit Nightly. Thanks @fantasai and tkent. github.com/WebKit/WebKit/pul…

For everyone that prefers checkboxes 1 & 3 (the majority it seems!) check out Polypane and live in the future. Our elements panel has been displaying it like that for years (at-rules) or a year (native CSS nesting, which we landed devtools support for ahead of most browsers)
