Thank you, Minister Thompson, for the opportunity to meet and discuss propane's role in Ontario's energy mix.
Thank you @samoosterhoff for taking the time to meet with our Board and for recognizing the vital role propane plays in Ontario’s energy mix. We appreciate your leadership and look forward to continuing the conversation.
Propane is a significant contributor to Ontario’s diverse energy tool kit, helping keep the lights and heat on during the coldest days and nights - especially in rural communities.
Grateful for the opportunity to meet with the board of the @CanadaPropane Association - a group whose members are supporting thousands of good-paying jobs across the province and supporting our energy grid with affordable and secure power.

Thank you, Minister Khanjin, for joining our seminar & for your continued support of the propane industry. Eliminating the fuel tax on auto propane and boosting skilled worker mobility are meaningful steps for cleaner energy & a stronger workforce. #ProtectOntario #CuttingRedTape

Canada has the energy the world needs and Asia is paying attention.
As demand for energy continues to rise, countries like Japan, in the Info-Pacific, are looking for stable, long-term energy partners.
Canada is considered a great option due to its reliable, lower-emission energy that supports economic growth, emissions reduction, and reconciliation.
Earlier this year, Energy for a Secure Future led a mission to Japan to strengthen potential energy partnerships.
Our delegation included leaders from government, Indigenous communities, and industry:
🔸The Honourable @rebeccakschulz , Alberta’s Minister of Environment and Protected Areas
🔸Sharleen Gale, Chair of the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (@fnmpc)
🔸Karen Ogen, CEO of the First Nations Natural Gas Alliance (@FNLNGAlliance)
🔸Stephen Buffalo ICD.D, Chairman of the Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation. (@AIOC_Official)
🔸 Charlotte Raggett, President, Rockies LNG Partners (@RockiesLNG) and
🔸Shannon Watt, President & CEO of the Canadian Propane Association (@CanadaPropane)
Together, the delegation met with the Japan Gas Association, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan - IEEJ, among other stakeholders.
