Chemo round 164 There are so many strong emotions going through me right now and a lot of things are happening in the world today it's overwhelming at times especially on top of having cancer. What shouldn't be happening is Cancer research and funding getting cut at all – at Asheville, NC

Procedure day and chemo round 163. It's a lot just to face and to get ready to get through it No deep insight no motivational words just that it's ok if all you do is get through it #lifewithcancer #fightcrc #coloncancercoalition #thecolonclub #makecancerlessshitty #mentalhealth

Managing 13 pills daily, plus as-needed meds, can be overwhelming. I number each bottle’s lid and mark as-needed ones with a ring for clarity. How do you manage your meds? Share your tips! 💊✨ #nsclc #ChronicIllnessLife #PillBoxOrganization #makecancerlessshitty

There were times I wished for diarrhea due to the severity of the constipation I had -- crazy wish. Hoping things are as well as possible for you... Yep, I am surprised the makers of chemo-meds have not re-marketed them as anti-obesity meds like Ozempic. 🤷‍♂️ #CancerSucks

As we enter the holiday season this year so many memories come back over the last 9 holiday seasons since I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Cance changes everything and not just for the patient but the caregivers the support around you friends family and more. – at Canton, NC

Every cancer patient deserves palliative care. #bcsm
American Society of Clinical Oncology guideline update on palliative care for patients with cancer: Addressing the reality gap Commentary on Cancer by ACS The American Society of Clinical Oncology's recommendations for integrating palliative care into oncology are commendable but face significant practical challenges, including workforce shortages, limited resources, and insufficient financial support for necessary research. While these guidelines provide an aspirational framework, their full implementation may be unattainable for many programs. Practical strategies for adopting these recommendations at cancer centers are proposed, emphasizing the need for financial and quality incentives to drive the broader integration of palliative care into the healthcare system. @FionnualaCrowle @cardismith @rabob @JournalCancer buff.ly/3AQh6vG

The only side effects I didn't have were the nausea and vomiting. But everything else I did. I was sicker than a dog for 2 solid weeks out of 3, only barely felt human before next infusion of chemo. I lost almost 30 lbs🥺🥺

I’m supposed to see a GI doc tomorrow🤞#MakeCancerLessShitty. Everyone on the ward is lovely and it’s mostly quiet. But, it’s also giving hospice vibes that’s triggering me 🥹✨🧿🫶 #trauma #PTSD #postsepsissyndrome #postsepsisrecovery #cancer @ThanksCancer @CancerSuckLess

For this year’s Halloween I didn’t get to pick my costume. Instead I’m a completely authentic hospital patient. I don’t recommend going trick or treating with Klaus 🎃🏥 #MakeCancerLessShitty @CancerSuckLess @ThanksCancer
