People who don't understand animation think this is expensive, it is not.
This artist is drawing 12 to 24 finished illustrations for 1 second of animation.
So 20$ to 10$ an illustration.
I'm addition, they are wearing many hats to get the final product done.
In the animation industry, no one is drawing a full animation start to finish.
The job is separated between; story board artists, key frame animators, filler frame animators, clean up and colorist.
This person is doing every job in their service and their pay is justified.

Shigeru Miyamoto says even with the rise of generative AI, he believes humans will always have a role to play!
“Looking back at past designs, there are some that were created merely by copying and pasting. Yet, such work rarely stands the test of time; it lacks the individual’s particular design intention.
Because the process relies on an individual’s intent, with the computer serving as an assistant for the labor, I believe that even as technology continues to evolve, and even if AI were to eventually handle everything, there will always be a role left for us to play.”

Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. and Kirby, is warning that AI could lead to a flood of unoriginal games.
Sakurai points out that Steam has gone from around 275 game releases a year in 2010 to more than 19,000 today
“AI can create games, but it can’t create something truly original.”
Sakurai also argues that originality means creating something players don’t even know they want yet.
He uses Fumito Ueda as an example, saying AI could imitate the style of games like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, but it wouldn’t know what Ueda himself would create next.
