Bookend dinners; we started at this little evening diner getting to Kyoto and leaving. We’ve easily walked over 50 miles in the city getting to and from the various shrines. It was hot and sweaty, but it was worth it.
Kyoto has been awesome; we went up to monkey park yesterday and got to run around with a bunch of them ontop of a mountain
Oh and we met up with an MMA fighter at the beergarden in the market. Dude was in Dubai a couple of years after we left. Romain Clavreul - we’re gonna watch his rematch on October 27
We hit up Kanazawa yesterday, went through the castle gardens and hit the market in the morning to look around. Amazing how they have massive urban sprawl but save space for their historical buildings.
We had an absolute blast in Kusatsu at the Kirishimaya Ryokan. Fantastic city and people and loads of little streets to walk down and hot springs to see. Can’t wait to go back!
I’m so stoked for our Japan trip next month, seeing all the Japanese travelers here in Texas having a blast.

44 years of telling the great stories of Aggie Athletics 👍
From 1981-2025, the media changed but AC’s love for A&M and dedication to our athletes did not.
AC and his team were responsible in promoting Johnny Manziel’s chances for the Heisman, making him the first freshman to win the trophy. 🏆
Cannon was inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America in 2014 and in 2018 received the Arch Ward Award. 🏅
Thank you AC for your hard work and dedication to Texas A&M Athletics!
He won’t be gone for long, though! He will serve in a part-time role as the assistant to the AD and historian on Coach Elko’s staff.

Mantic Games is pretty awesome for creating this; helping a dude out who was in a pretty heinous accident

I cooked a prime rib for thanksgiving a few years ago and now I’ve been required to bring it to every family Christmas since.
