Another walking adventure: Pilgrims Way from London to Canterbury. Rochester last night, Lenham tonight. After Canterbury, I will continue towards Rome on the Via Francigena. @TimmyMallett has a good story about Rochester Castle, don't you Timmy?
@UK_StopWhinging are you Humpty Dumpty?
Two days in the mountains, but no rain for a change! From A Gudina to Laza and then Laza to Xunqueria de Ambia. 36 then 33kms
The last taste of winter (I hope!) Lubian to A Gudina, only 24kms but felt like the toughest day of this Camino. Lost the path first thing, then a steep muddy stream, gaining 300 metres of altitude, into falling, then lying snow! Then the mesquite of Galicia and cold wet winds.
Puebla de Sanabres to Lubian, 30km. Heavy rain and flooded paths, then drizzle by the road. Great lunchstop at roadside bar at the 1300m pass, lying snow and some small flurries. Lovely dry afternoon descent along drovers' trails through woods and alongside fast flowing streams.
