"Hi, I’m Hala, a Saudi woman. I saw your tweet about the *niqab* and how we are forced to wear it, so I decided to share my thoughts. To start, I wear the *hijab* but not the *niqab*. Just imagine being forced to wear it—it’s considered a disgrace if you don’t start wearing it by age 12. Fortunately, my parents are open-minded about it, though my father worries about what people might say. The problem is that girls in middle and high school cover their faces completely when leaving school; they can barely see through the fabric—what exactly is "alluring" about a teenage girl? My uncle interferes because I don't wear it, accusing me of being "immodest" and acting as if it’s a religious requirement. He makes me feel like a disgrace. Even my brother—even though I wear a face mask and fully cover my hair when I go out—would practically kill me or berate me if he saw me with my face uncovered for even a moment. He makes me feel like a source of shame, as if my face itself is something shameful that shouldn't be seen. I cry over this every single day. If you look at Saudi universities, you see that every girl has her own style Emo, Goth, and Alt Casual aesthetic—creative makeup and hairstyles and I think it looks beautiful. Yet, if I step outside, I have to cover my entire face with a black *niqab* and hide my identity. If I don’t, I’ll be ostracized by my family—or perhaps even killed. Can you imagine? All because of a piece of cloth that supposedly defines a girl's chastity and honor. I’ve come to hate myself; I hate being female. I’ve lost all hope in society. I’m currently in my second year of high school—just one year away from graduation—and I’m working hard to secure a scholarship to study in a Western European country where I can finally feel at ease and breathe freely. Even though I don’t wear a *niqab*, my brother forces me to wear a face mask I just want to feel like a human being. I want a society that views women as independent individuals respecting their choices regarding clothing and appearance—instead of forcing me to spend my entire life wrapped in a black trash bag. Please, I beg you: keep talking about this. Let this become a major public issue that reaches the whole world. Don’t stop We want to turn this into a global public issue so that people understand our suffering and the extent of the injustice we face, and so that we can finally secure our rights and live the normal lives that women in most other countries enjoy. #٢٠٣٠_بلا_نقاب"

On 25 May 1982 an Exocet sank the ship carrying Britain's heavy-lift helicopters, so the Royal Marines and the Paras carried the war across the Falklands on their backs. The Atlantic Conveyor went down with three of the four big Chinooks, six Wessex and a Lynx. Twelve men died with her. The plan to fly the troops forward sank with them. From the beachhead at San Carlos to Stanley was around 56 miles. Nothing on the Falklands runs in a straight line. Peat bog that swallowed a boot to the shin. Tussock grass in knee-high clumps. Rivers of loose rock. Rain two days in three, sleet, and a wind straight off the Southern Ocean. 45 Commando went first. Twelve miles to New House, eight more to Douglas, then on to Teal Inlet. 3 Para marched for 24 hours in two columns. The Marines called it yomping. The Paras called it tabbing. Each man carried 80 pounds and often far more. Rifle, ammunition, mortar rounds, radio batteries, sleeping bag, rations, a shovel. About the weight of a grown Labrador, carried for days, then dug in under at night. At the end of it there was no rest. They went up Two Sisters, Mount Longdon and Mount Harriet, and fought at night, up rock, some of it with bayonets. The photograph of the yomp, a Marine with a Union flag tied to his radio aerial, became the picture of the whole war. Those men are in their sixties and seventies now. Around 2020 the fitness industry discovered walking about with a heavy pack and called it rucking. The Marines called it getting to the fight.

Roughly 80-200 jihadist attacks (completed plus many foiled) across Europe and the UK since the early 2000s, killing about 650-800 people per compilations from Europol, Fondapol and trackers. UK alone: ~9 fatal attacks since 2005 killing ~96. Deadliest: Madrid 193 (2004), Paris 130 (2015), Nice 86 (2016), London 52 (2005), Brussels 32 (2016). Definitions of "attack" vary; peaks were 2015-17.

On behalf of the British people, I would like to apologise for the slave trade. I am sorry we were the first great power in history to turn its guns on it. I am sorry it cost us around 2,000 sailors to free 150,000 people they would never meet. I am sorry the rest of the world took so long to follow. Slavery did not begin with Britain. It is as old as civilisation. Babylon wrote it into law. Rome built an empire on it. The Vikings sold Englishmen through the slave market at Dublin. In 1625 Barbary corsairs took 60 men, women and children out of a Cornish church; by 1640 Parliament was told 3,000 to 5,000 English people were held in Algiers alone. Every great power of the age took part in the Atlantic trade. Portugal and Spain for a century before an English ship did. Then the Dutch, the French — and the British, who in the eighteenth century carried more than anyone. That is the record. It is not disputed here. Then a nation turned on the trade that had made it rich. Wilberforce's bill was beaten year after year. On 25 March 1807 it passed. Then Britain did the part the critics never mention — it sent the Royal Navy to enforce it. The West Africa Squadron sailed in 1808, two ships for 3,000 miles of coast, and hunted slavers for nearly sixty years. Britain paid Spain and Portugal to open their ships to search. HMS Black Joke ran down the slaver El Almirante in 1829 and found 466 people in her hold. Around 2,000 British sailors died doing it — most of fever, to free people they would never meet. 1,600 slave ships seized. 150,000 Africans set free. In 1833 Parliament borrowed £20 million to end slavery across the Empire. The debt was not finally redeemed until 2015. The United States needed a civil war. Cuba held slaves until 1886. Brazil until 1888 — eighty-one years after Westminster voted. Yes, we took part in the trade. Every power of the age did. None of them fought it like we did. So yes. I will apologise. I am sorry it cost us so much. I am sorry the rest of the world took so long to follow. That is not something you apologise for. That is something you teach. #history #britishhistory #royalnavy #westafricasquadron

A poll three years ago showed that two-thirds of black Britons were in favour of compensation for anyone deemed a descendant of slaves. Less than a quarter of white Britons agreed. The campaign for reparations opens fault-lines in British society like no other. It is corrosive.
Slavery reparations are a scam that could tear apart Britain's social fabric. If he doesn't shut down these calls straight away, @andyburnham is walking into a trap. "This would generate resentment on a colossal scale," @ColinBrazierTV of @OutpostStudios.

He’s talking about rape, and I want to point something out. He doesn’t say “it’s not always wrong,” or “it’s not always bad,” but “it’s not always haram.” The fact that rape violates and traumatizes the victim is meaningless in the Muslim worldview: all that matters to them is whether or not the assault is haram. Islam permits rape — as well as forced marriage, slavery, and domestic violence — and calls it all righteous. A man can beat and rape his child bride and still be considered a good man by Muslim standards, because under Islam, girls and women are nothing more than animals who look like human beings. They are living property, to be sold and beaten and raped at the whim of their owners.

It's not always haram. Liberals definition is very narrow. They don't consider Husband emergency need. Also in war its is allowed.

In 1830 HMS PRIMROSE captured Spanish Slaver Velos Passagera rescuing 555 Africans destined for slavery. PRIMROSE was part of the Royal Navy's West Africa Sqn tasked with anti-slavery duties. Between 1808-60 the RN intercepted 1,600 slave ships, freeing over 150,000 Africans

Strong Reform wins overnight! In Worksop East (Bassetlaw), we went from nothing to 46%, with Labour sinking from 74% to 37%. We also smashed the Lib Dems in a ward in Halton, Cheshire, which they won in May this year. The Westminster bubble is as out of touch as ever. Sadly, we did lose one ward in Dudley. We won 872 votes, Labour won 874 - and Restore took 159. The next election will be existential for Britain. I’ll deport everyone who is here illegally. Vote Restore, get Labour.
