The first time I lived in SF 2003-2008, there was a comprable level of crime to SF now. The reason folks are freaking out is the rate out homelessness means they have to see people of color every day. That’s why it “feels” less safe for the particular crowd rallying against it.

At first glance I thought this was people knocked to the ground. Reality: Louis Vuitton was cleared out by robbers Friday night. I passed Burberry where about a dozen maybe more were starting to vandalize/break in. Windows at FENDI & YSL were broken too. #SanFrancisco

In America, we have jails in every city and prisons littered across every state. If a Chinese journalist visited the US they could follow a map to our prisons, see they are mostly filled with black people and believe there is an actual genocide happening, couldn't they?
