Twitter discourse thrives on provoking your outrage and anxiety. You don't need that. The world doesn't need your outrage! It needs your prayers and it needs your love. And you need the peace of Christ to rule over your heart.

Twenty-four years later, we still remember. 🇺🇸
This year’s #BlueMass at the Cathedral of Christ the King brought our community together to honor the lives lost on 9/11 & to recognize the sacrifice & strength of first responders.

Sincere appreciation to Msgr McNamee and the choir of The Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, #GeorgiaUSA for joining us and leading the beautiful singing at 11am Mass today, May God reward you and bless your travels #SingANewSong
Live horses, washing strangers' feet, kissing the instrument of our Savior's death, singing in complete darkness, - those are just some of the things you'll encounter this Holy Week at Christ the King.

Happy feast of St. Blaise!
Blaise was a doctor *and* a bishop before he was martyred during a Roman persecution. Among his healing, he famously saved a boy choking on a fish bone.
86 years ago, the Cathedral was formally dedicated. What started as a small parish with a few hundred parishioners is now a thriving church home to over 5,000 families! We're celebrating that anniversary at all of our Masses this weekend. May God give us 86 more years!
❄️ It's official ❄️ Offices are closed and all activities are canceled this Friday and Saturday, January 10-11.
"All kings shall pay him homage,
all nations shall serve him."
[Psalm 72:11]
#Epiphany
You might see this new cross on the altar at church this Sunday. The Latin on it reads "Jubilee of Hope 2025" and it's a marker signifying that the Cathedral is a pilgrimage site during the Year of Jubilee that Pope Francis just inaugurated.
A jubilee year is a year celebrating forgiveness: because we were forgiven by Christ, we forgive the debts and trespasses of others.
You can also receive special plenary indulgences this year by doing things like making a pilgrimage to your local cathedral. You can read more about that here: ncregister.com/cna/how-to-ob…
As we start the new year with the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, let's call on the aid of our Blessed Mother to give us the strength to draw closer to her Son every day this year.
