I remember applying for jobs and getting absolutely nowhere. One day, a friend asked me: “Have you actually looked at your CV? Maybe that’s the problem.” And honestly, I hadn’t. I had just put together whatever CV I could at the time and started applying. But that question stayed with me. So I went on LinkedIn and started looking for someone who could actually review and revamp my CV. I found someone, checked out their work, and asked about their pricing. They had a regular option and an express option. But I didn’t want to slow down. I wanted to keep applying. Because sometimes, job searching really is a numbers game. So I paid ₦15,000 for the 24-hour express service. And that experience changed how I looked at CVs. Fast forward to today, I’ve now written and revamped CVs for 100+ people, and I’ve received 80%+ positive feedback. So I’m bringing my CV Revamp service to X. Honestly, based on the work and personalised guidance I provide, this could easily be a ₦5,000 service. But I’m launching it here at just ₦2,000. I’m taking only 10 CVs next week, Sunday to Friday. We’re entering hiring season. Before you send out another 50 applications, let’s make sure your CV isn’t the thing holding you back. Go to my Selar storefront and choose CV Revamp. I have other services there too, including Professional CV Writing and Interview Preparation, so choose the one that works for you. selar.com/0825712818 (I will make this post everyday until the end of September, so everyone can see it before the hiring season is over)

One remote job is one layoff away from zero income. Especially if you live in Africa. I don’t know where you’ve worked or what your work history looks like, but one thing I’ve learned is that remote work can be incredibly unstable, especially for those of us in Africa. Today, you have a job. Tomorrow, your employer announces restructuring, budget cuts, or some other reason to let you go. Your access is revoked, your salary is calculated up to your last working day, and just like that, your income stops. I’ve seen people lose their jobs after two weeks. Others lose theirs after three months. Sometimes, a company simply finds someone willing to do the same job for less money. And what can you do? You pick yourself up and start looking for another opportunity. That is why I always say if you’re working remotely, don’t build your entire financial life around one job. When the money starts coming in, please don’t spend everything trying to maintain a lifestyle. Don’t let the clothes, gadgets, and big-boy or big-girl lifestyle consume all your earnings. Instead: Build an emergency fund. Save enough to cover your essential expenses while you search for another role. Invest wisely. Research legitimate investment options that align with your financial situation and risk tolerance. Build an additional income stream. It could be a business, a side hustle, or another sustainable source of income that doesn’t depend entirely on your employer. Plan for the unexpected. Don’t wait until you’ve lost your job before thinking about what comes next. Yesterday, I had an EBR with a founder, and I was so frustrated that I knew continuing the conversation in that moment wouldn’t be productive. Sometimes, you have to step back, process things, and recognise just how unpredictable this space can be. Remote work can give you opportunities, flexibility, and a good income. But please, don’t confuse a good salary with financial security. Your employer can replace you. Your contract can end. Your access can disappear. But your financial survival shouldn’t depend on one person’s decision. I’m not saying everyone should work two jobs. I’m saying everyone working remotely should have a Plan B. Save. Invest. Build something sustainable. Prepare while things are going well. Because when things go wrong, you don’t want to start planning your survival from zero.
Woke up this morning and noticed that my contract is paused on Upwork I really don't know how to feel but I will be fine

Your QBR won’t save a customer your onboarding failed. At a virtual event recently, someone asked me a question I genuinely loved: “What is the most important part of your job as a Customer Success Manager?” My answer? Guided onboarding. Not because QBRs and EBRs aren’t important. They are. But before you start reviewing a customer’s progress, discussing business outcomes, or planning for expansion, you need to make sure the foundation is right. And that foundation starts with onboarding. Think about it. You sign a customer, welcome them to your platform, walk them through a few features, share some resources, and tick the onboarding box. But did they actually understand how to use your product? Do they know how it fits into their workflow? Do they understand how it will help them achieve the results they paid for? More importantly, did you take the time to understand what success looks like to them? Because completing onboarding is not the same as successfully onboarding a customer. When guided onboarding is rushed, generic, or poorly executed, you create problems that can follow the customer throughout their entire lifecycle. The customer struggles with adoption. Engagement drops. Product usage remains low. They fail to see the value they expected. They start exploring alternatives, and before you know it, you’re having a churn conversation that could have been prevented much earlier. Now, you might have excellent QBRs. You might have a solid EBR strategy. You might even have a well-designed customer health score. But what are you reviewing if the customer never adopted the product properly in the first place? You cannot build continuous customer success on a weak onboarding foundation. When I guide a customer through onboarding, my goal isn’t simply to show them where to click or explain what each feature does. I want to understand their objectives, identify the outcomes they’re working towards, help them connect the product to those outcomes, and create a personalized roadmap that guides them towards value. And sometimes, that process reveals opportunities for additional products or features that can help them achieve their goals faster. That’s where expansion becomes a natural continuation of delivering value, rather than just another sales target. This is why I see guided onboarding as much more than the first stage of the customer journey. It sets the direction for everything that follows: adoption, engagement, retention, renewals, and expansion. Of course, every stage of the customer lifecycle matters. They are interconnected, and none should be neglected. But if you ask me where I would be most careful, where I would want to get things right from the very beginning? I’d choose guided onboarding. Every single time. Because the way you introduce a customer to your product can influence how they experience its value, how long they stay, and whether they see a future with your business. Customer Success doesn’t begin at the renewal conversation. It begins with helping the customer understand how to succeed. What’s your take? Would you also put guided onboarding first, or is there another stage of the customer lifecycle you consider the most critical?

Please Everyone, I need your help. From the accident, she has fractures in her hand, leg, and pelvic region. The doctor said the surgery will cost about ₦5 million. It is extensive and will be done in two phases. First they will operate on her hand and leg. When she recovers from that, they will do the pelvic region. It has been a painful experience. We have already spent so much on drugs and medications just to keep her stable this far. The pain is still there every day. A lot of you have followed this from the day of the accident. You have seen the updates. You know what this has been like. Please, if your heart can move you, even ₦1k, ₦2k, ₦5k, ₦10k, or ₦20k from you will help us. Every little bit carries weight right now. Over 250 people have bought the course. I know a lot of you did it to support my wife’s treatment. I see that and I am grateful. But please watch it. It is not just a donation. It has real value. You will learn how to build websites with AI and make them editable. That is something you can use. So thank you for the support. And thank you in advance for taking the time to watch it. It will benefit you. Thank you all, I am grateful
I have received so much support. People have sent money, shared the posts, prayed, and checked on us. Some of you bought the course pinned on my profile just to help. In my own way of saying thank you, I have dropped the price of that course from ₦4,000 to ₦1,000. It is a course on how to build websites with AI and make them editable. If you know someone who wants to learn it, send them the link. selar.com/revodia-aicourse Whatever comes from it will still go toward my wife’s treatment. This is not a big thing. It is just my way of giving something back for the kindness I have received. Thank you.

𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚: AI Creative Strategist & Copywriter for Info Marketing Ads, VSLs & Emails ($2,500-$4,000/mo) We're looking for a savage. Someone extremely good at creative strategy and copywriting, who isn't afraid to use and abuse AI to get sh*t done fast. Part-time. Remote. Here's the job. AI can spit out 10 new hooks and headlines in the time it used to take to craft one. Drafts are cheap. Knowing which one actually sells isn't. The one that fits the brand's message, the person we're targeting, and the angle we're running. That's what we're hiring for. The role: You'd write short-form video ad scripts, webinar and VSL scripts, email sequences, and sales and opt-in pages, plus new angles to test. You get our internal agentic operating system, loaded with the playbooks behind over $200 million in client revenue, plus in-depth tracking so your work gets judged on real data. Pay: $2,500 to $4,000 a month for 20 to 25 hours a week, plus bonus opportunities where they apply. Who we're looking for: •Info marketing experience (courses, coaching, webinars, or high-ticket programs) and work you can show •A real AI workflow, or the willingness to adopt one •Speed: same-day first drafts, fast rounds on feedback •The habit of bringing the next idea without being asked How to apply: The application has a short editor test: you get a weak AI-written ad and show us what you'd do with it.
