During the first school Mass of the year at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, a gunman opened fire through the windows while students, teachers, and parishioners prayed. Two young children, ages 8 and 10, were k*lled in the pews. At least 17 others, most of them children, are injured—some in critical condition. The shooter, a man in his early 20s, took his own life at the scene. Families were reunited with their children outside the school as an entire parish and city mourns. “Our hearts are broken,” said Chief O’Hara. “This act of violence is beyond comprehension... These kids were literally praying.” Let us pray for all the victims and their families.
